I respect Saban, I really do. He’s the GOAT.
It’s the ignorant/arrogant Alabama fan base that I detest. It will be so much fun to watch them suffer with a very average coaching staff in the next few years.

Is this you saying that parents and recruits did not benefit from “getting theirs” at Alabama before NIL?

You’re either hilarious or completely stupid.

Can you explain, if paying players was so prominent during the Saban years, why hasn't their been "ONE" disgruntled player come forward to take down the "KING"? My thing is, if you are "paying" one, you have to pay "all". Maybe it's just to hard for you guys to admit that Saban was better at getting guys to the league than your coach and that's why players wanted to come to Bama. I guess if Saban was paying players than that means Kirby was as well. He's having the same success at recruiting as Saban did before NIL.

He's being disingenuous.. he's been paying players for decades. They've ALWAYS 'got theirs' if they went to Alabama (or UGA or OSU, the NCAA's other two pet programs).

he just mad that now any program can do the same.

LOL he worked his arse off until he was 72 years old while most of America bows out ~5 years earlier. What have you done with your life to justify calling this man a quitter?

Saban is worth 100 million plus and he made that money off the back of 18-22 year olds and he's bitching and crying about a 18-20 year old making a little money.

Talk about a classic hypocrite.

So why didn't you just say you didn't watch his testimony? That you just hate everything he says.

Great take!! Like 50 years of coaching wasn't enough. 17 years at the University of Alabama. I would imagine that if he stayed 2-5 more years, you would be on here saying he's just like Joe Paterno and didn't know when to "quit". Just say you don't like him and move on. He definitely wasn't a 'quitter".

False.

I did not watch the games last year. I've been a fan for near half a century, and I did not pay for live TV last year to watch the games.

I did not watch a single bowl game, where in the past I would watch almost all of them.

I did not watch the SECCG, even though Alabama is in it. Something I wouldn't have missed for the world a few years ago.

I did not watch the playoffs at all. I did not watch the Alabama vs Michigan game. Another thing I wouldn't have missed for the world a few years ago.

I think I caught 2 games on TV, and that was the CBS broadcasts. Any others I listened to on the radio, or I skipped completely.

Next season, I expect to not watch a single game.

Nascar said the same shite. And I went from making sure I watched every race on Sunday to I can't even remember the last time I watched a Nascar race.

You're too much of a loser to be a coach to start with.

Did he not quit when the team started asking for more money all the time?
