Time for Dalton Brooks to step up.

He's certainly replaceable. But what's going to be difficult is replacing all the portal loses the Aggies have had off an already below average team in the best conference in the history of college football. Elko may build it back up but year 1 is going to be very difficult. If you start 1-2 things could get really ugly really fast. I see a typical Aggie 6-6 and I'm being nice. Could easily lose 7 or 8 games.

Wouldn’t be the first time. Remember that Leon O’Neal hit the portal every spring and came back. hence I’m not surprised if he comes back after workouts

Hard disagree. It was time for a change. Flint has done a good job.

Hearing Moffitt talk, you can tell we were up to date on having the a good weight room, but we’re lacking on technology and use of analytics. His first week and biggest change, Moffitt went ham upgrading the systems etc. I had seen some guys say Moffitt had fallen behind, but hell, he took us into the future vs what we were doing before.

Yeah, I thought he played pretty well. Has natural ability.

Not sure whether it was due to laziness or complacency, but Moffitt's attention to detail had waned considerably. He ignored nutrition completely( DB's and linemen were on the same diet.) just as an example.

The technology thing is overblown. LSU has another guy who handles that.

A lot of the program had begun to rot under Orgeron, and Moffitt was a part of that. He was one of the first that BK informed would not be retained. Unfortunate, but the man had a decent 20 year run., which by itself is a feat in the profession. A fresh start was in the best interest for everybody.

Goes without saying
Aggots are hanging a lot of their hopes on a s&c coach in the twilight of his career...

I’ve heard it both ways. Have heard plenty of LSU fans say he needed to go and was past his time, and have heard plenty of LSU fans say he was a good coach and will excel at A&M. I’m hoping it’s the latter.

Both can be true. I don't expect him to "excel" at A&M. Moffitt's are a dime a dozen these days. To his credit, that wasn't necessarily true 20 years ago.

He is most likely still an upgrade from what they had, in any case.

No disagreeing, but DB is probably our deepest position at this point.

For me it smells like he doesn’t like competition or the new training program.

players who wish to transfer within the conference must enter the portal before Feb. 1 to be eligible to play the following season.

Any player who fails to meet the deadline must sit the next season out. The rule does not apply to SEC players who transfer out of conference.

Based on Justice Kavanaugh's opinion in the unanimous decision against the NCAA in the Alston case, I am very confident that any attempt by the SEC to keep any player from transferring within the conference after Feb 1 would be seen as a limitation of their NIL potential earnings and would lose in court.

That doesn’t even make sense.

Nobody is saying he can't transfer intraconference. By SEC rules, he will not be eligible to play in the fall. He would have had to enter the portal by Feb. 1 in order to play in the fall

It is clear, as usual, you don't know squat.

It is obvious Matthews is tired of losing and doesn't see that changing anytime soon.

Especially with all the FCS and low-tier FBS transfers Elko-the-Blob desperately brought in.

Oh great, once again the retard jumps into a discussion he knows nothing about. I knew more about college sports at 12 than you do at whatever age you claim to be.

No. It is pure logic.

He saw 22 players, some really good defensive players, hit the portal.

He knows aggy defense will be donkey this year.

He is tired of losing.
