For those traveling to Austin for games....

If you go out drinking you need to take precautions at bars in Austin. Specifically, at bars in the Domain and around the 6th street area. There seems to be a lot of drugging people's drinks in these areas. Men and women both. Never let your drink out of your sight and watch the bartender as he makes it. FYI.

I remember going to Austin in the 70s & 80s to games with my dad and having a great time. Austin was once upon a time a really cool city. It has become a shite hole extraordinaire and will never be the same again.

Loves going to Austin for the Okstate games, Texas fans treated us well both times.
Stayed at the Hilton Austin and explored Rainey street and West 6th after the game.
As a Houston native, Austin has the best food in Texas.

I heard on the news that there is a likely serial killer in Austin killing men and dumping their bodies in Lady Bird Lake. It must suck to be a college kid in a big city and have to worry every time you go out that your drink could be drugged, you could be robbed or kidnapped or killed and then thrown in Lady Bird Lake. WTF.
