According to Gilbeau, Grubb is seriously considering the Seattle job and it appears it may come down to what's best for his family. Apparently, Grubb's wife and his daughter Falynn love living in Seattle and moving to Tuscaloosa would be a big change.

Apparently, he also knows an NFL opportunity doesn't come along every day and he would not have to spend long days recruiting and dealing with NIL and the transfer portal.

I just mentioned to a buddy of mine this morning that something told me Grubb was leaving and Alabama wasn't going to announce it until after signing day so they wouldn't lose any recruits.

I guess we will see how it all unfolds tomorrow. Losing Grubb would be a monumental loss considering how long Deboer and Grubb have been together. The soap opera continues...

Providing no link definitely makes it seem more real.

This logic no longer applies.

Guilbeau is a parasite, he was a parasite when he was in Mobile and he is a parasite now.

Considering many thought he'd be elevated to Washington's HC after we hired DeBoer, not really. Hope he stays, but it wouldn't be this devastating thing opposing fans wish to make it.

Well, CKD introduced the entire staff, including Grubb at the REC meeting last night. He was asked if he expected the staff to stay intact and he said "absolutely". But who am I to contradict Guilbleau or OP's buddy?

This will likely rub some folks the wrong way if true.

He hasn't even interviewed for the Seattle job.

Who is more full of shite, Guilbeau or Moscona?

An NFL OC or a CFB OC position is a no brainer for me...especially with all the shite currently going on. But I get he has an affection for Deboer.

No shite. He'd be stupid not to take that job if offered.

I don't think he's even had an interview yet, though.

Personally, I hope he stays for a couple of years. He's great at what he does. There's a reason Saban tried to get him to Bama to replace Sark.

The longer the story stays out there with no word from the Seahawks or Grubb that he's no longer a candidate tells you all you need to know. Grubb is at least a finalist for the Seahawks OC job or he's already the Seahawks OC and they are waiting to make it official.

A lot of “may” and “if” in that link. Sounds like wish casting.

In 2024, being an OC for an NFL team is objectively better than being an OC in college.

Similar money, don't have to deal with millionaire 18 year olds and recruiting, etc.

In this case, he wouldn't even have to move his family. It's still not clear he's been offered, however.

Rantards: Alabama is finished because they hired PAC-12 losers.

Also Rantards: Alabama is finished if they lose their offensive coordinator.
