Alabama still hasn’t released his contract details? Why the delay?

Actually, we're hearing he offered to pay the University for the chance.

When he realized he'd have a chance to kick that LSU arse, he doubled his offer.

Alabama has money for this big contract but got voted by the U.N. For having the worst poverty in the developed world. True and sad story.

8 year 80 million for a guy that has barely coached at a high level other than a few years. At Least he still has some good players at bama so he wont be starting from scratch. That 8 years guaranteed though could bite bama in the butt if things go south after a few years.

I’m not a fan of fully guaranteed contracts, but he’s making about $2mil per year less than Saban, so it’ll feel like a discount for the first few years. Hopefully it works out.

That was the joke when Matt Luke was hired. It went something like they went to Matt Luke after Freeze was fired and said we're going to make you our head coach but it's only going to be 1 million a year and Luke said he thought he could come up with the money if he and his brother mortgage their houses.

If that's true than he turned down more money from Washington to come to Alabama

Huh?

Vorel continues that a second contract offer was given to DeBoer on Jan. 11, the day before he left to replace Nick Saban. Vorel states that this contract started at $9 million in 2024, increasing by $100,000 each year until 2030.
