The world knows many of you all act like hoodlums in public, but how do your brightest act when they're away from home at school?

The latest statistics from July/2022 ranking all of the nation's colleges and universities for on-campus & off-campus crime using personal violent crime/property crime/"other" crime categories and ranking them accordingly. THIS IS FOR ON-CAMPUS ONLY (not surrounding areas of town).

I did all the homework for you twinkies out there in RantLand (as usual), culling the data for SEC schools and then ranking them below.

The bottom EIGHT (8) schools of the SEC with the lowest ranking (least safe) will be ranked first. Then, the top EIGHT (8) schools of the SEC with the highest ranking (most safe) will be ranked second.

The number next to your school is the NATIONAL RANKING. See link to article for more details.

Get your pom-poms ready...or get a zoo mask to cover your embarrassment. Here we goooooooo.........

Seems like every campus is safe. I’ve walked across our campus at 3 in the morning by myself and never felt remotely unsafe.

"other" crime categories
- offense of sexual abuse of an animal

"on campus only" is doing some heavy lifting here

You should also include enrollment numbers. Bigger schools should have more crime statistically compared to smaller schools.

How did LSU rank so high. BR is a crime
filled sheet hole. I imagine alot of that would spill over onto the LSU campus.

I also question UTx rating with it being located in downtown Austin among homeless camps and bums roaming around.
Even Matthew McConaghey was kidnapped and shoved into back of van and assaulted one night while walking home from class at UTx.

I’ve come to the conclusion that some of these schools are lying about crime numbers so as to not scare off mommy and daddy so bad that they don’t let their kids enroll.

LSU is surprisingly safe considering a part of the campus near a rough spot

Honestly thought LSU would have been in the bottom 4 rather than the top 4.

Ole Miss and State being safe doesn’t surprise me. Having said that, my daughter WILL NOT be attending Ole Miss

No way LSU should be one of the 4 safest. You step off campus in most directions, it’s ghetto, at least TigerLand, and past the north gates.

2x Texas Ex here, and I live in the ATX suburbs. I'm here to tell you that ranking is dead wrong. Since the Austin PD was defunded by the cabal of idiots, crime downtown is simply no longer reported unless its a murder, and then the Soros DA will throw the case if the colors of the perp and defendant are wrong. Ask the family of the poor Michigan kid who was gunned down in a gangbanger crossfire a little while back about that.

Just to make sure it's extra F'd up, they just brought back 3x disgraced ex-Chief of Police Art Acevedo at a measly salary of $271k per year in a "police liaison" role for the city manager, knowing full well that would crush any remaining embers of morale in the APD.

Downtown Austin is more comparable to Tuscaloosa at best, and is trending toward San Francisco, which itself is trending toward Detroit.

Food choices may appear sketchy but so far safe. No trips to the hospital from food poisoning and a few of those back door joints had pretty lax health and hygiene habits.

Literally have homeless meth heads on the drag harassing students right across the street from campus.

Texas is in the middle of downtown Austin surrounded by homeless and druggies. You have to be kidding.
