If they don't win a "chip" will that failure exceed the 2022 aggies? I believe ole piss has forked out more for this 2024 class than the aggies did for their 2022 class.

They've blown through all of their money to win this year. Lots of pressure.

They are selling their soul to win. That's great but if you don't build the right way with guys that are committed to the cause then you can lose the team and all of a sudden instead of 11-1 you are 6-6.

This year will tell you everything you need to know about LK.

So the coach who has been 2 years ahead of everyone else on the transfer portal is now spending wads of cash to win now?

We lost 2 players to Louisville last week because they offered more.

We have a collective that was a year ahead of most everyone else and a couple of big boosters who will help for the right player. This isn't some unsustainable thing. This is the new normal for Lane and Ole Miss.

They won't even make it to Atlanta, let alone a "chip".

We’ll most likely make the playoffs. Would you consider that a failure?

What if we won 1 playoff game? Still a failure?

You’re comparing us to the aggots, but not mentioning they won 5 games and 7 games after they bought their class. You are disingenuous, never went to LSU, probably haven’t been to an LSU game since the 90s, and probably grew up in some place like Jeanerette

Their odds to win it all are similar to LSU and are behind UGA, Bama and Texas.

Vegas believes they will be in the mix but not expecting them to win it all.

Expectations should be tempered.

Uga +400
Bama +600
Texas +850
LSU +1400
Ole Miss +1600

I don't think not winning a natty would be a disappointment. Not making the playoffs would be.

If you're a team like Ole Miss, then you look at the schedule and the current roster, and you decide when to spend your money and take your chances. That's what we're doing.

If get in the playoffs and win a game, we'll remain in good position. The player interest and money will be there to sustain in the short term.

One thing the Grove Collective has going for it is that we actually pay the NIL we say we're going to pay. It sounds like some collectives have gotten a bad reputation for not paying.

Ole miss has good resources for NIL but ole miss isn’t being dumb with the money contrary to popular belief.

-let players “walk” (Judkins) when financial investment doesn’t match headache/locker room drama
-let players walk when asking price exceeds slot value (2 portal guys Louisville stole)
-spending more on proven portal guys than unproven high school guys.

These principles are setting us up for sustained success and that’s why we have won 10+ games 2/3 years and have a chance to do the same next year. Kiffin has proven he can maximize portal players and not every team has proven that. It takes more than accumulating a roster to sustain success.

Wasn't the 22 aggies the greatest class ever? OM is putting together a pretty good class but is it the best ever??? I don't think so.
