Georgia is at a crossroads. Admit it, Kirby Smart was OWNED by Nick Saban, let's just be honest. 1-5 and it took some injury luck to get the 1. That game went into the fourth quarter.
Come September 28th, The Georgia Mercenaries come to Bryant Denny Stadium in a MUST WIN game for Smart and Georgia. Lose this one and they will have lost to the new coach at Bama Kalen De Boer and be 1-6....that's got to start Georgia people thinking about do they have the right man at the helm of their program.Can't Beat Bama. Owned.
No excuses if they do not win it. None. Except for the way they have poached Bama's roster and they will be walking into a hornet's nest. Angry team staff and fan base waiting for them.

Kirby Smart can't beat Alabama. That would be all over the place. Georgia fans are arrogant bastards and it will eat them alive. It does now Bama stopped that threepeat.

Saban was a great coach, no where to go but down from where y’all have been. Kinda the same for us at the moment.

Smart was 1-1 in the last two games against Saban. Losing the last one by just 3 points. Then his team finished the year ranked ahead of Saban's. And that's how Saban's career ended - behind Kirby Smart.

If Bama and Georgia are both as good as they have been recently, that game won’t mean that much. The loser could still make the playoffs.

The facts are Saban was 5-1 against Smart and won 5 SEC titles during Smart’s 8 years at Georgia to Smart’s 2. Both won 2 national titles; Alabama beat Georgia in both of their title years, while Georgia went 1-1 against Bama in one of theirs and luckily avoided them in the other.
The poll ranking at the end of this year is largely irrelevant. Saban was the one obstacle Smart couldnt overcome. I understand why you guys are celebrating his retirement with such gusto.

I'm just getting this on the record. Georgia SHOULD win the game.
But if they don't, I am going to be all over these clowns.
