DeBoer was an impressive 7-2 against ranked opponents

while at Washington
The seven wins were by 3, 3, 3, 3, 6, 7, and 7 points.
Literally every win was by a single score. This guy could be great, but he could also have just been lucky as shite for two seasons. He’s a few bounces of the ball from being an 8-4 type PAC12 coach you’d never heard of.

I am guessing Auburn would have never hired the guy

You would be correct.

I would hope not after the Harsin gamble/debacle. Not to say your results will be the same. Not an indictment on DeBoer, just not a road I have any interest of getting dragged down again.

I promise you he had less talent than at least half of those teams he went 7-2 against.

His overall record indicates he will be great .

No doubt. That's because you're retarded.

Just an awful hire. Bama is the new Tennessee.

We already did. His name was Byron Hanson

Alabama would not have offered Freeze the job if he would have agreed to take it for free.

Wow its bad when Bama fans start comparing their situation to AU.

This is hilarious - you guys hired Harsin.

Winning close games against ranked teams points to him being a good coach
Washington was good but they aren’t talent laden like some SEC team
Give him Alabama talent and those close wins turn to blowouts

With only 2 years at a Pac 12 program. I would be very nervous. Also Recruiting in the 20s. I would be scared shitless.

He a good coach and would be very successful there. Unfortunately, the fan base is going to start demanding his head when they don’t win a title in the first two years. Then they will get him fired after year 3 or 4.

Unfortunately, we'll never know how Harsin might have turned out if he had actually been given a chance to succeed.
