Torn on Deboer. Think he’s a great X and O football coach. The record speaks for itself. No idea if he can recruit, and that’s the lifeblood of SEC football.

Feel the opposite about Norvell. I think he’s a clown but he can recruit.

Yall are way too hung up on recruiting. Its hard to recruit to Washington...because there are no players there. You could recruit just the state of Alabama and field and average SEC team

I’d love to see us running his offense. Definitely a big step up from Rees’ offense imo. No knock on Rees but Washingtons offense was #1 for a reason this year.

Great, an unproven West coast coach, that has no idea what the SEC is all about, and has never played at this level without a Heisman caliber QB. His team got mauled in the trenches by Michigan

AND another thing... he's had Grubb as his OC I think for like ten years or something. It's his version of Venebles. What happens when he gets hired away. How do we even know Penix and Grubb are not mostly the reason for their success.

This is stupid AF. WE just saw the next big name yankee coach crash and burn at the barn in two years.

Meanwhile we know exactly what Kiffin brings to the table. This is a fricking disaster.

25 year old Heisman level QB, and he has had his OC for like Ten years. Grubb. How long until someone hires Grubb away to slow us down ? I give it one year. This is as risky a hire as we could possibly make.

Maybe he's great but we dont know. Then there's Kiffen who we know will put us in the playoff every year. I simply dont get it.

It's not hard to recruit to Washington. Sarkisian did it just fine

They spend a boatload of money on football

That guy worries me. Great record but the only time he has ever been to the south is probably going to the beach.

Saban had never been a coach in the south til LSU hired him, Same with Meyer at Florida.

They run DeBoers offense. He was Penix OC at Indiana then Penix came to washington when he got hired for that HC job.

Grubb to him is basically like kirby smart to Nick Saban but offense instead of defense. Grubb is great but they run what Deboer wants. Deboer is an offensive genius.

DeBoer with Simpson, Milroe and Sayin would be a thing of beauty.

Isaiah Bond would have a field day with his speed downfield in their vertical passing game. Have to imagine he would have fun working with Niblack in that big WR/TE role as well.

It's been 24 hours (actually less since the official announcement). Nothing has been decided or not decided by Alabama publicly. We know nothing. Take a breath.

Well, that makes me feel a little better.

Is there any word of his interest in Bama, and what is the likely hood this guy is skyrocketing straight into the NFL in a couple years ?

That's the thing about Kiffin is he aint going nowhere
