Michigan and the Midwest have a lot of CFB fans but idk about Washington. I figure the south will tune in regardless.

I think plenty of people are glad to watch a national championship game without an SEC team playing in it.

Michigan is a massive fanbase and Washington will probably bring more viewership from the pacific northwest than any of the oregon national title appearances
ETA: also both teams are 14-0, which has been a rarity in the CFP national title game.

I'm more excited about watching this NC than I have been in a while (not including games which Bama was in obviously.)
A great defense going against a great offense. A west coast team in the big game for the first time since 2014 against a storied program that has chance to get over a multi-decade hump.
First NC since 2014 with no teams from the southeast.
