Glad I bought his rookie card

Triple digits as an interior defensive lineman.
Pro Bowl screwjob.
Pro Bowl screwjob.

Was my thread not good enough for you assholes

I believe he has broken it. Didn’t he need 3 total tackles?

I remembered seeing it, but couldn’t find it. It got buried under Monty being unemployed, Downtown Hank Brown, and Bowl losses….

He is over 100 now. Most by a DT since 2000 in the NFL
All Tampa needs to do to make the playoffs is beat the worst team in the NFL. And I am not sure they can
Panthers D is legit. Tampa offense, not so much right now

Yet he's only a possible pro bowl alternate. The NFL only cares about sacks. Dude deserved to be selected

They only care about popularity

If you can explain why Antoine Winfield Didnt make the Pro bowl, I will listen.
Dude had a monster year

I have no explanation, it's a popularity contest run by people who don't watch or understand football.

He needed 3 and got 7.
He's an absolute monster at the DT position. Has been for a while now. He just needs a change of scenery.

This is what I was talking about.
Buddy baker on the left made the pro bowl. Antwon Winfield on the right, did not.

They don't watch the games on a year to year basis. Baker WAS one of the better safeties a few years ago so they're basically gonna keep giving it to him until someone has an OUTSTANDING year. They've done the same crap to Chris and Jemel Dean in Tampa. The Tampa 2 scheme also doesn't get a lot of respect.

Panthers DT Derrick Brown is signing a four-year, $96 million extension that includes $63.165 million guaranteed, per source.
Deal negotiated by Brown’s agents Drew Rosenhaus, Jason Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey and Panthers execs Dan Morgan and Brandt Tillis. Drew Rosenhaus confirmed the deal.

Derrick Brown had 103 tackles last season, the most for a defensive lineman in NFL history. The Panthers were determined to keep one of their cornerstone players in Carolina for years to come.

Good for him but wtf are the Panthers doing?

The owner who took over a few years ago (David Tepper) is a hedge fund billionaire who thinks he is smarter than everybody else in EVERYTHING. And he thinks the plastic, botox Barbie wife he married in 2019 (after dumping his previous wife of 20 years) is just as smart.
And they think they both know football.
He’s Jerry Jones (who at least PLAYED football at a high level) on steroids, but also adds a stripper wife into the mix.
QED.
(Why did the NFL choose Tepper to buy the Panthers a few years ago? Well… BILLIONAIRE.)

This does wonders for recruiting.

Certainly think it is better for recruiting than this contract not to have happened but doing "wonders" is a stretch.
