Their fanbase celebrated when he left like we did when Golding left.
My boss who’s a huge ND alum and former player likes him and hopes he comes back there.
BTW, he thinks Milroe is deficient as a QB.

Alabama, where you make the playoffs with multiple top recruiting classes and NIL merchandise whores, and get beat in the first round, have a really bad offensive game plan all year and want the OC fired.

Rees game plan against Michigan ran into the teeth of their defense. I definitely think he was outcoached.

Lane kiffin definitely could have won a title this year with this personnel and Defense.
There's a reason LK isn't an offensive coordinator anymore. He could've developed Ty Simpson into QB1, too.

Our offense was handicapped why was the worst offensive output the game he was benched against the worst team on the schedule?
Because he is not the reason. A failure to adapt the offense to a pure RPO to fit his skillset was.
And, god damn, how did we not have a center who couldn't snap the ball? fricked up timing on 100+ snaps.

There is no other way around it. A failure to attack the edge with RBs or the QB or passes killed us. They were beefy in the middle and ran over us all night. Bama never adapted.
That said, bama was in position to win and the D didn't hold up. That last play was GD embarrassment. Running into the teeth of a D that had shite on you between the tackles all game.
It was a fun season. Just not a championship team. Those are the facts.

RPO isn't an easy offense. You're asking the qb to diagnose after the snap and react quickly. The qb also has to be able to throw intermediate passes. BAMA's qb can do exactly 0.0% of that. It's unsophisticated, but not easy.
Is it coaching? IDK. It's hard for me to believe Rees is telling Milroe to be a drop back passer despite his inability to do so. At some point, someone needs to tell Milroe he can't throw a curl correctly. Some throws have to be thrown before the receiver is looking at the qb. Milroe hasn't demonstrated he can do that.

I'm not saying this to be contrarion, because I respect and enjoy your posts. However, the defense held up. 20 points in regulation is a damn fine effort. Everybody is hailing Michigan as the greatest defense in college football, and BAMA's defense did the exact same thing as Michigan's defense did- held the opponent's offense to 20 points in regulation, I mean. OT is a coin flip. I thought BAMA should've gone on offense first. Their defense just had a let down allowing Michigan to tie it at the end of regulation. They were in rhythm. Should've let them watch BAMA on offense, then play under pressure of being down perhaps. If they're down 3 or 7, maybe they play tight, or call different plays, IDK. They couldn't have been very confident in their kicker, either. But the defense was clearly reeling, and Saban sent his defense right back onto the field because of analytics.
The last play was poorly executed. It wasn't poorly designed. The RB had a high probability of scoring if the qb could get him the ball. The qb could have scored, perhaps, if he scrambles instead of panicking and diving.

I can't be the only one that watched milroe last year against TAMU and in mop up dirty and thought oh hell were screwed next year am I? I don't get paid millions to make these decisions but damn the eye test usually doesn't lie. Can't read and not even close to accurate. Those are kind of important attributes for a QB to have.

What did you think this year when you saw how the other qbs we have besides Milroe looked vs USF?
I was thankful that we had Milroe to start the next week or it would have been a very long season.

Buckner made me question Sabans mental health. I've seen better D2 QBs. Ty looked like he had potential especially against Kentucky. The Usf game was nothing more than the team quitting cause they didn't have their boy which is the biggest problem. Milton has been in around 20 games now and still is indecisive, inaccurate, and looks like a deer in headlights.
Literally pick at least 8 other QBs from sec teams and we win. I have no clue why the media is pushing for him so hard for the heisman cause I know there's non bama fans everywhere that would love nothing more than to see him behind center. Tennessees true freshman Nico looked 10x better than our 3 year guy

Well looks like you were pretty wrong, because not only were we not screwed, we went undefeated in the SEC and beat the #1 team in the SECCG for a playoff birth.

Another thing to consider is that he was apart of the 2021 recruiting class. The COVID season class. Outside of a handful of players, that class has been a bust. Why ? Because the coaches couldn’t evaluate players in person because of what was happening at that point time. Simpson, Lonergan and Sayin were evaluated in camp and were immediately offered.

Every time 4 takes a snap it's like the first snap of his 1st college game.
His bulb isn't bright enough.

Until we develop consistant dominant Oline play again it will matter little which QB or playcaller we have. For the last 3 years Michigan and UGA have had dominant Oline, Washington this year, us in 2020, Lsu in 2019. Until we get thay fixed these arguments aren't going to matter cause Bryce with Lane Kiffin wouldn't be enough to protect us from dropping a game or two.

One play, 4th and goal from the three. It is win the play or go home.
Running into the teeth of a defense that has been pushing the middle of the OL around is not getting "outcoached". Outcoached is what was happening when he stopped calling running plays to the edge when they were working. Getting outcoached is when the DC and the front 7 know what you are going to run before you do.
Running into the teeth of a defense when the play is win it or go home. That is pure stupidity,

I can’t argue with that.
