Do we still want Saban to retire?

If he keeps getting fool’s gold every year, it gives him a reason to keep going, but after Bama humiliated themselves as well as the SEC last night (seriously, THAT’S the SEC representative?? Losing to the big 10?!?), we have to just come to grips with the fact that Saban hasn’t really been Saban since 2017 and simply doesn’t have it anymore. If he finishes out his contract til 2029, that will make 12 years and counting without a championship. Keep this guy at Bama, that’s what I’m thinking.

Thoughts?

Alabama lost to the #1 team in the country in overtime of a playoff game. Your posts makes it out like they got killed in the Gator Bowl by Iowa. I know you’re going for the sweet troll that gets a bunch of upvotes from other LSU fans, but surely you realize how idiotic your post sounds.

Losing to the No. 1 team by 7 points in overtime with a chance to tie it on the last play of the game, winning 12 games and making the playoffs is “humiliating”?

How does it feel to lose 3 to 7 games a year for 4 years? Because Bama fans sure as hell don’t know. How does it feel to be 2-11 your last 13 games, including 42-28 this year, vs. that washed up old man Saban?

7 points? UGA lost to Bama by THREE and only because of a non review call
Looks like the committee picked the wrong team. Michigan sure wouldnt have eaten Georgias Oline alive like they did Bamas. Georgia would have won this game

They also only beat Auburn by 7. That trumps beating FSU's 4th string. UGA should have lost a game early on and back doored their way in like Bama.

No doubt. You would think the “GOAT” coach wouldn’t lose 2 games and need a miracle against a shite Auburn team and cheap shots in other top games. Especially with all the muh best recruiting classes ever he keeps stacking up

Nah...now that he can't buy the best team every year, he is average.

NIL exposed him. He is great, as long as he has twice the talent of the other team. Given equal talent...not so much.

3 years. 2020 isn’t even counted towards player eligibility let alone counted as a legitimate season by anyone outside of the trailer parks of Tuscaloosa.

Congrats, he beat a shrimp boat captain and split games with “big game Brian”, including a loss to a patched up LSU team with 39 scholarship players. That’s what happens when post-2017 Saban doesn’t have freakish miracles go his way. But yeah, he’s not washed up at all.

You had it and you pissed it away, as many times as you could.

Even got gifted one more try at the end.

Daniels would have found that end zone

Just the Iron Bowl alone is humiliating.

They are a dropped snap or two from being in the title game, likely as favorites. So yeah, hang it up big dawg

I agree. It’s obvious he is not the coach he use to be. Why would we want him gone? It’s too much fun seeing Bama in decline

What year did you become a “Bama fan”, exactly?

Thats where Saban struggles. Knowing offense, hiring OCs, and QB decisions. He just got lucky to hire Kiffin and Sark in the rehab program. The rest of his OC are a mixed bag.

The only reason they had the opportunity to drop those snaps are because of a muffed punt, a 0.01% ESPN probability Hail Mary (against a team that got blown out vs New Mexico State), a season ending injury to Jordan Travis, and a non-review in the SECCG. If Ole Miss had been that lucky they’d have been playing Michigan last night, too.

Just because Saban will still beat you guys every year doesn’t mean you can’t let the rest of us enjoy year 6 of the downfall.
