To be fair that had less to do with Ole Miss and more to do with the weird arse culture surrounding the program at the time. We rushed the field for multiple games against inferior opponents.

As an old fart, lots of O.Miss / LSU stories, but one of the funniest, in a sick way mabe, was after a highly contested game in T.S. that LSU won late. There was a fight going on in the parking lot, 6-7 drunk LSU fans beating the crap out of a drunk O.Miss fan. A BRPD officer jumped in & started pulling the Tiger fans off the poor Reb. Said poor Reb was subsequently arrested & charged with inciting a riot.

Might have just been Ole Miss. But believe me when I say, it says infinitely more about dumb LSU fans wanting to get a cheap thrill than it does about what we think of Ole Miss. No LSU team should ever rush the field against Ole Miss no matter how close the game is.

Its very much a one sided hatred. It stems from us ruining their shite every chance we get.
1959, 2003, 2014, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like them. But that's more-so because of their "holier than thou" attitude.

growing up in the 80s, lsu was always my second favorite team because of friends, family and location. i'm not much of an lsu fan anymore, but i still root against ole miss. hate is a bit strong in my case, but ole miss is easy to laugh at.

I agree that its mostly older LSU fans that have a strong hate for Ole Miss, but every generation has some level of hate for them. Its not hard hate a douchebag in a bowtie.

You called Alabama a one hit wonder (as in only ever had success in football) and I simply pointed out that we have beaten LSU more often than not in the three major sports. You then said that mythical all time teams are what matter most, which I disagreed with. Now you are saying final fours and national titles are all that matter. I guess what you are really saying is whatever LSU has more of, that’s what matters, and whatever Alabama has more of (like head to head wins) is unimportant.

I believe for most LSU fans…..we think Ole Miss feels about LSU the way LSU feels about Bama.
LSU will fool around and beat Bama once every few seasons. Same goes for Ole Miss beating LSU.
