UGA, Ole Miss and Missouri were all denied a playoff spot this year because of the massive temper tantrum FSU and Clemson threw last year that led to the ACC voting no on expansion.
This is all on them and while I hate it for their fans their administration deserves all of what just happened.

It already is chaos.
There are a few sports analysts who have already said that the playoff this year is illegitimate without an undefeated FSU in the mix.
Another sports writer is now calling it the "ESPN INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT."
A few FSU bloggers really do want to have the FSU team show up, take a knee, and then simply leave.
The AP poll now has FSU listed at #4. To me this shows that a large portion of the country, beyond a doubt, is pissed off and knows that Bama doesn't belong.
