If we know the results without playing, why take the risk of playing the games. Players could avoid injury, coaches could get sleep and spend needed time with family. I think you are on to something.

I doubt if many of you believe that either Georgia or Alabama would lose to Florida State in the playoff. In fact, either team with beat Florida State by two or more touchdowns.

How many believed Ohios Staye would beat Bama with their 3rd string QB

How many thought the NY Giants who barely squeaked into the playoffs would beat Brady and the Undefeated patriots.

How many believed Troy would beat LSU or Appalachia State would beat Michigan

It doesn’t matter what anyone believes the outcome will be.

What matters is what happened on the field. FSU didn’t lose and won games with their 2nd and 3rd QB.

FSU with their backup is better than Auburn who had Bama beat until they totally crapped the bed on 4th and goal from the 31. Why isn’t Bama penalized for that?

And if FSU was so bad after losing Travis. Why were they still 4 instead of 8 before Bama needed help to get in?

It is not about that, it is about giving them a chance to play in final 4. There are many teams that may win it all if given the chance.

Didn't the same experts think Bama would blow out Auburn?

if x equal y then kentucky beat florida last year so since Louisville lost to kentucky this year that makes them better than FSU becasue FSU only won because their second string QB played....make it stop

Texas has no business in the CFP but were selected to give the committee an excuse to add Bama…how embarrassing.

The outrage is kind of liberalism in America, it's the small vocal minority. While the majority understand and use logic to determine why Alabama is in the playoffs and FSU is not, the small vocal minority go ballistic and humiliate themselves in front of the world. Like liberalism, the small vocal minority will slowly die out with a whimper, and the majority will once again reign supreme and have their time at the head of the table.
