Win or lose Georgia gets into the 4 team playoff, there is no other scenario

Win and they stay number 1
Lose to Bama on a neutral field and they do not fall past 4
This is the only way it happens, some of you are letting your emotions make you believe something illogical will happen
It won’t, the playoff committee has proven that before

well, you're wrong. History has shown us that non-champions are generally at the back of the line compared to 0/1 loss P5 champs.
If Michigan, Wahsington, FSU, and bama win, we are likely out.

Could you BE any more incorrect? What I said above is l literally using logic (9 years of precedent and history of decision making by the committee) while you and others are using emotions ("they just can't drop them that far, I mena they just CAN'T it won't happen!!!!!!")

Oh this will be fun. Please tell us what scenario you're referencing so I can point out why it's not applicable to this year.

I think so. And it’s strange seeing a #8 team injecting themselves into the conversation in the last week. They are the lowest ranked one loss team (unless you want to include Tulane. LOL!).

If FSU adn Texas (and oregon I guess) all lose they have a very real chance. It's not unheard of...this isn't the ocaches poll where a jump from 8 to 4 would be pretty severe.
One fo the biggeest, if not THE biggest, parts of the committee's process (confernece championships) has yet to take place so you can see major movement after this weekend

Show me where the number one team who has won 28 straight games and back to back championships has fallen from number one to number five in the final week?
And the teams that jumped them had a strength of schedule that is a joke
I’ll hang up and listen

that's not how it works. YOU claimed what the committee has or hasn't done in the past. So the onus is on YOU to present your case. These were your exact words: "he playoff committee has proven that before" Proven what before? Tell us. If you've bitten off more than you can chew it's not too late to backtrack and just say you might've been mistaken.

literally couldn't matter less as it relates to this ranking

Actually, if you look at what happened to TCU last year..?? They lost their conference championship and still got in. I remember some talk about the presidence being that a team that ran the table shouldn't be 'penalized' for losing an 'extra game', or something. What would be different if we lost to Bama?

They would need multiple P5 champs to have 2+ losses (which is exactly what happened two years ago).

TCU got in because multiple P5 champs + Notre Dame had 2+ losses.

TCU got in last year because there were literally no other 1 loss teams to choose from. The next 2 teams in teh pecking order were bama nad UT, both of which lost 2 games and didn't win a championship. Had USC won the PAC they would be in over TCU, but they lost.

the fact that, unlike what I just said above, there are teams with 1 loss that would be in the disucssionwith us, including a 1-loss P5 champ in texas (presumably).

I love it when tards throw down absolutes on a very much debatable topic.
(You're wrong, btw.)

You’re jumping through hoops to try and mentally prepare yourself for the one in 1 million chance that Georgia does not get into the playoffs, which is ridiculous

ah, ok. So at this point it's abundantly clear to anyone following along that you have no clue what you're talking about and aren't even trying to discuss the facts anymore. With that in mind I'll bow out.

We haven't seen a situation like this before.
We haven't seen a no. 1 fall that far after losing.
We haven't seen a conf. champ take a backseat to a conf. champ if they both had one loss and certainly not if the conf. champ had 0 losses and the non conf. champ had one.

1. You’re wrong
2. You're afraid
Even with the loss Georgias résumé to be in the final four will be greater than teams currently sitting at eight through five regardless of how those teams finish this season

UGA has no chance if they lose.
In past years there were multiple TWO loss teams playing on championship saturday that basically guaranteed a spot even losing the championship game. that is not the case this year.
If Texas wins-in
If Mich wins-in
If FSu wins-in
If Oregon and Bama win then there is the decision to be made. Who has the better win? who has the better loss? who has a stronger resume? that is what will be discussed.
You're hoping they get in because you are nervous about Bama. You should be pulling for Washington as much as anybody.

Why the hell would Georgia get in the playoffs if they lose to #8? That would just prove they aren't one of the best 4 teams. Isn't that what is keeping Bama behind Texas is because they lost to them?.........4 teams is an utter shite process way to pick a champion.

Saturday is a playoff game. Win and we are in. Lose we drop to #5 and first team out. Bama wins they jump to #3 or #4. Pretty simple actually from a Georgia standpoint.
