It's official. The A&M/Texas game is back on Thanksgiving weekend starting next season.
Confirmed date of 11/30/2024.
Disappointing news to me. I wanted to keep LSU as the last game of the year. It had become a very enjoyable rivalry over the last decade.
Who does LSU get now? Arkansas?

What the schedule should be is...
A&M and Texas.
Missouri and Oklahoma.
Arkansas and LSU.
Three rock solid rivalries that could all draw eyes to the TV. You can make money with all three of those games, even on a loaded rivalry weekend.

Really would like our first meeting of the new era to be a night game at Kyle.
Atmosphere will be insane.

Man, I can't even imagine what the ticket prices are going to be for the game next year. Might have to take out a freakin' loan for that one.

A&M LSU should be the SEC conference opener like when it was usually the first or second game of the year for both teams in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s.

Way too much. I am settling up from my family trip to DKR this last weekend and games are already pricey.
They got the concessions thing figured out, however. Their was a twenty minute wait for a cheesesteak or burger but more beer troughs than you could count.
The Tito's bar was the only booze area that was overrrun.

I am expecting them to be atrociously high...but I'm pumped. Should be an electric atmosphere.

So '76 was the last time y'all beat them, then?

Definitely. Just hope we can somehow get some payback for that dagger FG 12 years ago.

Yeah, make the Longhorn fans puke out all their turkey and mashed potatoes.

I'll be honest. A silver lining of losing the LSU game on Thanksgiving weekend will be getting to watch LSU/Arky on that weekend again. Especially if Arky hires Petrino back. There were some great games between Petrino and Les.
