mines a message of hope my friend. We can leverage the portal and NIL to achieve more than this program has in a long time. We're just not doing it.....

We can recruit well enough in highschool to compete in the sec and challenge for titles even during specific seasons..,...we just aren't right now

Just $25 a month could sponsor a weakside defender who desperately need you.

Please donate.

If I've got to chose, Landon is going to get more money than Pooh every day.

If Pooh doesn't like that and can get more money from Ole Piss so be it. It’s the nature of the business now.

I think what’s going to happen is what I asked earlier this year, running backs are under used and undervalued.

They will start switching to slot receivers and linebackers. Which will drive down their value as well.

In the NfL which is what we are becoming, we running backs are let go instead of given 2nd contracts unless they are freaks. I think in high school the switch will start to happen.

If all he ever does is block a kick against Texas that’s a win.

Just read a story about Ohio State losing 13 (so far) to the portal. I guess their player evaluation and development needs to be discussed, right?

Wait Wait wait I thought the haves were hoarding all the talent? Now they're losing people to the portal? Why pretend us and Ohio State are anywhere near the same situation? To me this is the portal opportunity, we need to snag the kids bama and Ohio State don't have minutes for....and somehow keep our depth without it transferring out....

Let's see where they transfer too before we make a call on if it's an eval problem or not. Most of our guys washed out to smaller programs and could barely play or didn't play there.....

Well shite. You move the goalposts faster than I can post. We are to Ohio State what North Texas is to us. So if Ohio State loses a player to us, then the powers that be at Ohio State need to have a discussion about player evaluation and development, right?

I'm trying, (and obviously failing) to get you to understand that there is much more involved in players transferring out. Playing time and player development were always factors. What has changed is NIL and instant eligibility.

Of course the haves are hoarding the talent. Always have, and always will. Wasn't long ago, losing 13 players would be an unmitigated disaster. Now it's just a bump in the road where you pony up the money to go buy replacements. If you are one of the heve-nots, you do the best you can. That's us, if you are wondering.

Aggy has lost mainly starters to the portal.

Not just wrs and QBs but dline and oline.

From a talent and contributions stand point they are the biggest loser to the portal this far.

The reason I responded was because oklahog was painting players transferring to lesser programs as a Pittman player eval and development issue. By that logic, players who transfer from Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, USC, LSU, Oregon, etc., means that those coaches must have evaluation and player development issues, right? Ohio State alone having 13 transferring means they can't all be going to perennial national championship contenders. There is still a player limit, isn't there?
