That and Etienne just left Florida. fSU I’m sure will offer.. but it’s money. We all leave jobs for more money.

How daggum sad is it that our top RB, this year, was our QB with 447 yards and an average of 2.8 per carry.

So sad that we should have fired our head coach.

Just listened to a podcast and Traylor held out of getting a lesser job because he thought Baylor or Arkansas could open this year or next.

In order for the portal to work on our favor we need to be retaining our top talent we bring in through high school and then supplementing with what we can get to fill immediate needs.

We continue to lose our top playmakers and up and coming talent on both sides of the ball and replacing it with similar or lower quality athletes....at what point is Sam's player development getting called into question? I think it's just a matter of time before we see kids transfer out and start performing well for other coaches. Rocket is capable of that for sure. KJ and Chavis as well. I also think Pooh Paul will too unfortunately.

Pretty clear he would take the Ark the job in an instant. Sadly, I think the Bobby hire will throw a wrench in the plans. He's either going to get us just good enough we keep Sam another year and miss Traylor, or sam is going to get fired and Bobby will take over midyear.

Either way, it probably equates to Traylor to Baylor and we're stuck with dicks in our hands in 2 yrs.

Wow. I love Petrino, but I fear he'll be good for a couple extra wins next year, so we'll be 6-6 and sign Pittman to an extension. Meanwhile Traylor will go to Baylor.

This is the situation for every college not sitting on a pile of money or a mountain of history. As presently instituted, the transfer portal makes the second and third tier colleges nothing more than farm teams for those with more resources.

Speaking of HS recruits. Apparently Collins was going to announce something today at 4 pm, but then that got erased from his Twitter.

Speculation was it was not good for Ark and he was going to flip to OMiss.

Everyone on 247 was batshite flipping out.

Now today Hoggynonymous says this:

Hog Anonymous
@Hoggynonymous

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Charlie Collins is not going ANYWHERE. He’s a Hog and that’s that. I’ve heard a bunch even today (even after I’ve said he’s firm the last 2 weeks) of people saying that he’s gone, but that’s simply not true. Take your meds and relax, it’s going to be okay.

Let's get some good recruits and let 'em stay here for a year or two so they can transfer out to a better program. That's about where we are at presently.

This NIL and instant transfer mess is an abomination.

With NIL being unregulated, the NCAA needs to end instant transfers. Go back to making them sit a year and that'll solve a lot of the issues.

Signed TCU and Washington right?

NIL definitely benefits old money but there are plenty of other programs elevating themselves currently.

Tulsa - CB Keuan Parker
Memphis - P Reid
UAB - P Patrick Foley
Boston College - CB Khari Johnson
UNLV - OT Jalen St. John -
Texas State - QB Malik Hornsby -
Purdue - S Anthony Brown
Liberty - RB James Jointer -
Southern Miss - EDGE Eric Thomas
Memphis - IOL Marcus Henderson -

These were the programs raiding us for transfers last year..... Outside of Texas I'm not seeing a single playoff contender on the list.... We're struggling to evaluate kids well from the listing seen here and their season starts.....if we start losing the ones who do work out we're fricked on a whole new level

TCU and Washington were historically about as successful as they are now.

Patterson had them in the BCS and Washington was pretty successful with Peterson.

The common denominator is TCU has made good hires and Washington has made a lot of good ones and fired the bad ones quickly.

Not sure what you are on about, other than trying to make the transfer process as we know it reflect negatively on Pittman. Kids transfer in and out for a myriad of reasons. Some transfer out for more money. Some transfer for playing time. Some transfer because they want to be closer to their mama. I'm seeing a lot of addition by subtraction on that list, and we all know we have had some absolute studs transfer in.
