Really only see two things that can happen.
1) the team is so embarrassed and mad at what happened yesterday that they play will so much energy and passion that we can keep it close to the 4th.
2)the other is theyre defeated and lay down.. i really hope this doesnt happen

That loss shook the fanbase something serious. I just pray that it didnt shake the players to the point they check out at the next sign of adversity

In theory even if we did this Freeze would get no credit for this. People are now assumimg Freeze overlooked NMSU preparing for Bama. If we were to play tough or actually beat Bama (
) then the previous weekend would look even worse. We had a lot of recruiting momentum lined up for Freeze to take into the offseason as well that was destroyed by a G5 team. This post was edited on 11/19/23 at 10:54 am

Milroe gets the helmet sticker on College Football Final.

This team sucks. The 2021 team that made it close had some really good players on defense and Jameson Williams got ejected on a targeting call first half.
We don’t have the players defensively and we aren’t going to get a fluky targeting call on their best offensive player again.

Alabamas kicker needs 10 points to become the NCAA all-time leading scorer. I hope we can pull off a huge upset but if we can’t I at least hope we can limit Reichard’s opportunities. I’d hate for him to break the record on us in our own house.

I have no idea which team will show up and whether they have grown a new pair after last week. bama doesn't look so dominating this year, so there's a thread of hopium.

Auburn can not score. IF you cant score, you cant win big games. I would rather have a good offense and a bad defense. Atleast you have a chance to win that way

I got bad news: an unranked AU has only beaten a ranked Bama one time in history (2002).
So, yeah, not liking our chances. I just hope AU can keep the score within the 14 point spread.

31-6 Bama at half. 52-16 Final. Would love to be wrong, but realistic.
