See what he can do with a legitimate recruiting base and NIL money.

Would be a good hire for them

He’s not really a good coach. I think his one hit wonder has already happened

A@M is always dumb when they get to hire coaches … The president should clean house and fire the AD while they are at it …. They got 78 million reason to do it . A@M will hire an offensive guy this time around. .

2 ranked seasons over 11 years. Pass.

Absolutely. And they should lock him up for 9 mil a year for 10 years.

that's an interesting idea.

Why would Stoops leave for a paycut? Look at what we're paying him.

A&M could do WAY worse

One of those 10 win seasons had a loss to Jimbo and A&M. They those when the east was down and with weak OOC.
Sure, A&M can do worse, but the idea is to find someone with a high ceiling. Not 7 to 8 wins with the occasional 10 win season.

While they obviously shouldn't pay him like Nick Saban... the reality is Mark Stoops likely doesn't lose games he shouldn't if he were at A&M.
Instead of 8-4 with the occasional 9-3 and occasional 6-6, you'd get 9-3 with the occasional 10-2 and occasional 7-5.
He's not going to take them to a national title obviously, but can create a consistent level of success that A&M hasn't had since RC Slocumb.

I doubt it
But he did coach with Fisher during that FSU run and FSU seemed to regress after he left Jimbo's staff

Stoops at UK minus his 3 worst seasons
61.0% Winning%
46.3% SEC Winning%
Jimbo at A&M
64.3% Winning%
56.3% SEC Winning%
Sorry Stoops is good enough for yall. We consider that a failure.

Well... A&M are experts at failure, so you'd know better.

He's had more than one ten win season though?

Then when's the last time you had a success?

I doubt they want him.
If they do I'm sure they can throw the check book at him but he has a pretty sweet gig curretly
