At the time of their hire:
Jimbo-NC winning coach in his prime
Sumlin was the young hip hot name mid major with Texas ties
Mike Sherman successful NFL coach
Dennis Franchione Texas ties successful at TCU and in SEC at Alabama
I mean arguably each one on paper was a near home run hire and each ended with no titles
What is it about the school that causes such mediocrity in people who have proven high levels of excellence?

Oh, the Aggies can find the best coach in the world bring in urban Meyer or any national championship type coach and they will frick him up and make him below average. It’s the Aggie way.

I never liked the Fisher hired in the first place. Find one who have a longer track record. Fisher doesn't have that.

It would save them some money, but it would also force them to look in the mirror, which would mean uprooting everything they're about.

Jimbo wasn’t really a good coach. It just seemed that way because Auburn let Jameis Winston beat them. He left FSU in shambles. There’s no coach in the world that’s worth a shite that wants that Texas A&M job
