A&M has the talent and will continue to recruit at a high level. With a competent coach and a modern offense they will be a huge problem for the SEC.

Haven't we heard this before?

There’s likely not a single living person that’s ever seen Aggy at the top. Why do y’all feel entitled to something you’ve never seen? Money? Delusion?

Elijah the interim. He’s my choice for the next head coach because he is a star recruiter that would let the coordinators do their jobs. Things are falling into place ….

I would be ok with ER. Dude has been a rising star for a decade. Will be a head coach somewhere before too long. May as well let it be here, where he can continue to build off his own foundation.

The decision to terminate Fisher was made at a Board of Regents meeting. Texas A&M University will owe Fisher approximately $76 million for the remaining eight years of his guaranteed contract
I was on campus for a big part of last week for a conference, and I saw in the MSC that the Regents were meeting for the last part of the week.
Two days, as I recall.

I wonder if they made that decision in a smoky room at those meetings, BEFORE Saturday.

They need to fire absolutely everyone associated with negotiating that contract.

Other outlets have reported that the decision was made last Thursday. It is also reported that Jimbo already knew about it before the game yesterday. Not sure when he actually found out.

Like him or not, Jimbo is a class act and will make this transaction as easy as possible. A&M has been very good to Jimbo but he has not lived up to expectations.

The trophy said “20xx”, so it’s still good for another 76 years. :)
