IF we win our and beat Georgia it’s hard to see Milroe losing the job even if we lost playoff/bowl game.

That's a future problem that I welcome with open arms

Why would Milroe stay two more years after this year? If he continues to improve and has a great year next year, he'll enter the draft.

Sayin is only gonna have to sit 1 year. I’m telling you…Milroe is leaving after next year. He will be a 1st round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Very similar to Anthony Richardson…. But better.

Tua passed up Hurts.
The best talent and he who controls the locker room will win the job.
If Milroe doesn't improve to be good enough to leave after three years, I doubt he will hold onto the job.
If Milroe stays 4 years and keeps Bama winning, Sayin may very well transfer and best of luck to him.

News flash: no matter what happens the rest of this year, Milroe will be QB1 in 2024. Period. It’s as though you people don’t know Saban. Lol.
Milroe was going to be QB1 this year no matter what.
If Tua could not move in front of Hurts in 2017 even though he was embarrassing Hurts in practice, nobody will move in front of Milroe in 2024.

Impossible to know. Is Sayin going to be Tua or Blake Barnett? Nobody knows.

You do remember that he got benched against USF, right? If Buchner or Simpson had come in (against a bad team) and lit it up, they'd have been the starter the next week against Ole Miss. I feel like of all years, the job was there for the taking and neither of the other two grabbed it.

Tua sat.
Bryce sat.
Mac sat 3 years.
Almost no one is ready day one to compete for championships and some guys like Milroe and Hurts really needed multiple years to get to that level.
Time will tell with Sayin, but I'd rather have Milroe and Sayin than just Sayin...

I don't disagree. The question, though, was will he sit for two years.
The book is not written on Milroe. He's progressed but I definitely wouldn't call him entrenched to the level Hurts was at the start of 2017. How the year plays out will say a lot about that. If Milroe continues to develop, it's hard to imagine Sayin being more than a mop-up guy, but if Milroe does not evolve, Sayin could take over at some point.

Milroe won't likely be here 2 more years

Sayin may have trouble moving ahead of Lonergan, who knows for sure?

Milroe isn't losing his job. Sayin probably will redshirts

No
I think Sayin or Lonergan steal the job

Fair.

Well statistically he’s already had a much better season than Hurts ever had in Tuscaloosa as a passer.
Hurts was a 139 and 151 / 7.3 YPA guy.
Milroe is at 171 / 10.4 YPA
That puts him 2nd in the SEC only to Daniels and 7th nationally among P5 QBs.
He could certainly plummet down the stretch, but YTD as a passer I’d argue he’s far more advanced than Hurts was even with the footwork and game speed issues to be worked out.

Interesting comparison. Most usually say Blake Sims but he might be an even better match since Milroe is also an elite athlete. It would be great to see Jalen taken that high.

This. I saw with my own eyes, Anthony Richardson get drafted in the first round. Milroe is already a more polished dual threat QB than Richardson

Not Sayin he will or won’t at this time
