Good 'ol boy, Lane Kiffin, laying down the rat poison for UGA and our fans

Now, Kirby & Lane are very good friends...both coached alongside each other as assistants under Saban at Bama. Both have a lot of respect for each other and each other's program.
But, Kiffin's beginning to lay it down thick......
“We have a gigantic challenge ahead of us, going to play the No. 1 team in the country at their place at night. The last time someone beat them over there was five years ago. I can’t ask the last coach to beat them there about them because he’s on their staff. There aren’t a lot of answers out there about how to beat those guys in Athens. We have to have a really good week of practice. They have elite players, and elite staff, and we’re playing them on the road. What’s the hardest thing to pull off? This is it.”
They’re as great as advertised. When they have to rise up, they do. This isn’t their first rodeo of playing in big games.”
“I feel like this one is different. Whether that’s right or wrong. It feels like we’re playing with house money. Nobody expects us to win. We’re double-digit underdogs. We’re just going to go over there and see what happens.”
Don't think we're falling for this trap, Lane. Us older Dawgs have way too much Larry Munson in us to do that!
Ole Miss has a great team and those last comments above he said concern me the most. Here comes the GAMBLER!
It's UGA's final home game of the season....Senior Night.
It's gonna be fun....it's gonna be wild....Saturday night @7pm under the lights.

as someone who has watched and heavily rooted for ole miss a multiple times over the last few years, this shite drives me insane. You especially see it against bama, I don't know if he's just so mentally scared that he thinks he has to throw the kitchen sink at all times, but there have been numerous games he might've damn near won, or at least been in the thick of it at the end, if he'd just punt the fricking ball. Going for it on 4thdown on your own 30 doesn't really help anything if you keep giving the other team the ball in the same spot

In the past it's been pretty questionable. This year his decision making regarding going for 4th, punting, and field goals have been spot on. I think the past few years he was dealing with a weaker roster.

At first I felt the same way. Then he actually punted the ball. And 3 plays and 1 minute later the other team scored.
He will punt if he thinks the defense can get stops, but there have been so many games the past 4 years we couldn't.
He is just under 70% on converting 4 downs. 7 out of 10 times.
Was 2 for 3 against LSU, probably the reason we won that one.
And our punter is more likely to shank a 12 yard punt than we are not getting the first down.

Punting game has really been dog shite this year

He’s not as bad about that kind of thing as he used to be.
Tbh we should go for it on 4th in our own territory even more than we do because our punter is a trash can

He tended to do that more when the OM defense was really bad. He figured the opponent was going to score anyway, whether they started at the OM 30 or their own 30. Defense is better this year.

I think he does coach a little scared against Alabama. We're a run first team but our backs only carried it 14 times against Bama. Judkins averaged 4.3 ypc, which wasn't horrible. It's like Kiffin doesn't trust that we can just line up against Bama and play our game. He doesn't seem to have that problem with other teams.

C'mon Georgia put 100 on this clown !

Bama ran 99 yards with incredible ease and people wondered why Lane kept going for it.
It was very clear that it did not matter where we gave them the ball....we could not stop Bama that day.

Slight jab at Saban, I like his style!

Glad he took off In the middle of the night from Knoxville. That shite was hilarious. 7:00 at night In Athens is not ideal for any team in the nation. Judkins scares me though, We are having a time stopping the run

He's not wrong though. No one expects OM to win. I want them to win but I doubt they do.
