Is there a scenario where Bama gets in the playoff and plays Texas again?

Ohio State/Michigan winner
Sec champ
Undefeated FSU
1 loss PAC 12 champ
1 loss Texas big 12 champ

Looks like what it's coming down to

Likely need either FSU or Washington to drop one. To make it. If Oregon wins PAC 12 with one loss, is there any way they put them ahead of Bama ?

Nope. Zero chance of Bama and Texas. Not enough room with 4 slots.

Conf champ of Ohio St and Florida St lock up 2 slots.

Bama, Texas, and wash or Oregon fighting for the other 2 slots.
Bad thing is the committee currently favors all 3 of those teams over Bama.

I think they'll look at the whole resume if this somehow happens obviously. Beating #2 UGA and only losing to #3 Texas, and the SEC background and history of winning natties. Committee has to take Bama over Oregon IMHO. Of course, we could just lose straight up to UGA and this won't even matter, but I think if we win out and Oregon wins out Bama deserves to be in.

ETA: All that said, we need to be Utes and Beavers over the next few weeks. And we want UGA to win out.

That will not be the case if/when we beat UGA.

I don't think Osu wins out.

Also doesn't OK and UT play again in their conference championship game? Legitimately don't know...

its interesting that the committee never reshuffles..
Texas barely beat
and Bama beat higher ranked team more thoroughly ...

dont know why they are hung up on head to head ... it should only matter when all things are equal

Because it's the best indicator of who the better team is, although there are things like injuries and what part of the season the game was played in that could carry some weight.

They came to Tuscaloosa and beat Bama by 10. Yeah the pick six made a difference but they were the better team that day. It’s not like the 9-6 game in which LSU just barely edged out Bama.

it's unlikely but it's not zero

Big 10 could cannibalize each other

Penn State beats Michigan, Michigan beats Ohio State.

1.Oregon/Washington
2.Texas
3.Bama
4.FSU

Bama really needs a solid win over an undefeated ga team. If they somehow lose to the rebs that will make it very difficult.

Just need to realize that the committee sucks. People with agendas are running the shite show. They sing want the best teams, they want matchups that sell. We could win out and still be begging for a chance because a 1 loss ohio state or Michigan will stay ahead of us... So will Texas... So will FSU. And they want a pac12 team so bad.

Always been that way. Bama was screwed out of a title in the mid-60's because of people with agendas.

My position is that the SEC must be represented if the playoff is legitimate.

I think the committee knows this. The number of championships won, the talent gap... they cannot leave out a 1 loss SEC Champ.
