What's the latest on assistants?

Claunch is already gone to UTSA. Candidates?

Pannone seems to be a finalist for Fresno State.

I assume Murphy is set to come back?

Fresno hired the guy that Cal brought in from the NBA last year to change up Kentucky's offense.

Hod will be at a power 5 school in 2 years. Very impressed by him.

Fresno State already hired someone else. I expect Pannone will be back unless another job comes open unexpectedly that shows interst in him.

Im sure a lot of people are beating Oats door down wanting Claunchs open spot sonce we have had 4
Assistants get head coaching jobs recently.

Wague probably has a lot more upside I'm guessing?

Why are guys thinking Pringle is gone?

Not saying it will or will not happen, but I can see where it is something he'd probably consider. He's a 4 body with a 5 game and has basically maximized what his role could ever be in our system. He also had a pretty solid tournament performance so his NIL value is likely peaking. If Nelson and Stevenson come back in addition to bringing in Sherrell his minutes could completely dry up by conference play depending on health and how the younger two progress over the next 7-8 months.

People are speculating on Pringle due to the multiple suspensions during this year. But he was a huge part of the tourney run and is an emotional leader.

Wague I didn’t see a whole lot out of. I’m probably spoiled by most of the transfers we bring in being big impact guys. When Nelson would go out with foul trouble and Wague would come in it seemed like the other team immediately ran a play at him and scored and then we basically played 4 on 5 on offense.

In my honest opinion I think

Cosby, Wague, and Pringle hit the portal.

Knows Oats' system from the ground up and is an elite recruiter.

If he proves he can run a program, I think he'd be a great fit somewhere in that northeastern Big East footprint.

Always love to keep tabs on guys like that way down the road if (God forbid) you should ever need to bring them back too.

Wouldn’t lose any sleep over any of those guys leaving. Need to get some spots opened up.

This is best case scenario but I’d be sad to see Cosby and Pringle go

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I was listening to Full Ride this morning and Rick Neuhisel (spelling?) mentioned something about a new $40 million practice facility but I haven’t seen that anywhere?

Can anyone clarify? Thanks in advance

Theyre gonna build a day to day operations facility just for mens bball, supposed to be a practice facility, weight room, tretment rooms, players lounge, meeting rooms, offices and all that. Basically everything the mens bball program needs right there in their own building.

Heard its gonna be in the Coleman parking lot.

From what I read Nate leveraged the UK job opening for 3 things: Money for assistant coaches, a new practice facility, and more NIL money.

Honestly surprised it wasn't more. Glad to have him and kudos to him for getting his assistants raises.

Apparently he was in consideration for Indiana State as well, but both schools made other hires. Not sure if anyone else is considering him right now.
