We are in this. Time to take some chances.

I think we stick with the analytics. Their average shooters will eventually cool off. We can’t gut fricked by fumble fingers Pringle at the rim and will need every loose ball.

I think our skill players will eventually get points, regardless of Pringles offensive issues we need him in there for boards and defense. Bacot is a fricking load.

You can’t come back if you can’t get stops and that starts with contested shots and boards

Less wasted trips trying to play around the rim. Just start firing 3s like a MF'er...at least get shots off. If we can't outshoot them, then so be it.

Critical to come out strong and not let this get away.

did you see the alternative? Wague was a complete disaster

Wague reminds me of a Gottfried era player.

I don’t disagree with you. Just pointing out that Pringle needs to come down with loose balls and touch passes.

I also don’t love him being the man to get the ball in a high-low scheme.

Cormac Ryan is the same age as Herb Jones.

Shoot the 3's...half the rebounds from a 3 point shot doesn't come from the first line of blockouts

For the first 4 minutes, Oats needs to put in his best defensive players alongside Sears.

True.

But it ain’t just about stops with us. It’s all for naught without the rebound. We’re not skilled enough defensively to give anybody multiple looks… much less a 1 seed.

I remember Ryan scorching our arse against that listless 2022 team.

Yeah, really doesn't matter if you have the best plan ever thought out in basketball history if the other team can't miss threes

That’s only part of the problem. Even when they miss they are getting offensive rebounds. Even when they miss they are getting second and third shots until they make one.

They bodied up Sears and he dribbled it off his foot. Did the same to Estrada, and got hands on a Griffen drive knocking it loose. We’ve had some unforced, but there have been several due to UNC playing physical and getting away with it.

Yes which is why I’m saying you put in Pringle, Grant, and maybe even Walter’s to start second half. We have to get stops AND boards. The more size the better

As an upperclassman.

Herb Jones has played four full college seasons and is in his third NBA season. He’s 25. Cormac Ryan is 25.

Our defense has to be better in the 2nd half, that’s all there is to it. They’re on pace for 108 poonts. They’re shooting over 60% from three so surely they have to come back down to earth at some point. The problem is most of the threes they are taking are wide open.
