I thought there was a way to bring back Sears and Wrightsell?

Man I wish those guys would stay one more season

They both have a COVID year left so hopefully they'll be back

Those 2, Pringle, and Nelson still have the Covid year. Estrada is the only scholly player that is done after this year. But we are going to have guys transfer out after this year. Sears may go pro too, though I think that's a mistake for him.

Really really hope we can pay/convince Sears, Wrightsell and Grant Nelson.

I know it would be hard to fit our new class with Nelson and find starting minutes but we would be tremendous

I’m a huge fan of this Conwell kid on Indiana State. I was impressed by him when we played them. If he enters the portal I hope Nate is on him.

Momma Sears is 100% Gump. I could see her wanting one more year of him at Bama.

Slight subject change. Next year, it appears likely we will be one of the 8 teams In the early season college basketball pay for play tournament. I love the fact that we are part of the discussion as this tournament is full of elite programs, but man it just feels like college sports is going off the rails a bit here. Im not old guard, im all for players profiting off of themselves, but this tournament just really seems to set a dangerous precedent. Obviously it's a huge recruiting tool for all involved as it would equate to a minimum payout of $60,000 dollars for every player involved and double that for the winning teams players...

So if you come to one of these schools, you know for sure that $60,000 is in your pocket, bare minimum. But it certainly appears basketball is opening the door for all games to be subject to appearance fees for players, regular season and post season. The NCAA is terrified now, they have basically shown that they are done with getting involved because honestly the courts are going to side with players individual rights. I hate to be the old guy yelling at the clouds, but I do think the model's boundaries are going to start being pushed to the edges of the haves and have nots.

I love it since we're in the tourney.

They probably fixing to get 75k each in a tournament if I'm not mistaken so...

Sears
Wrightsell
Nelson
Pringle

Can all receive that next season in the new tournament... correct me if I'm wrong.

Nate Oats and company were really smart for getting us in a tournament that's going to pay 1 million. It's not a done deal yet but hopefully it will be soon.

If the bracket goes chalk, Alabama is getting nothing but bad matchups. Getting to 22-11 would likely secure Alabama at 4 seed slot and that is a good bit less upset prone than 5 seed. So I'm just hoping that Alabama wins the rubber match with Florida and if they get to Sunday then fantastic but I'm not betting on it.

Scared money don't make no money.

All Alabama has to do is get healthy and get back in a rhythm and defend like they have been.

102nd in adjusted defensive efficiency in the nation.

That will either need to improve or this team isn't making a run. You can be average on defense and make noise in March with an elite offense, but just like Oklahoma always found out in the CFP you cant be awful and win consistently against really good teams.

We can beat anyone if we get back our best lineup of Sears, Estrada, Wrightsell, Griffin, and Nelson.

We haven’t had that lineup the last 6 games and we have struggled and went 3-3.

Two wins in the NCAA Tournament is all I'm expecting, anything more and one doesn't know Alabama basketball.
