All frustration aside, I just want Griffin to be fine and us to take care of business Saturday against Arkansas.

Win Saturday and we're guaranteed either the #2 or #3 seed in Nashville (assuming Tennessee beats Kentucky in Knoxville). #2 seed if South Carolina loses one of their last two games, #3 seed if they don't.

Of course, without Rylo it's unlikely we make it past the first weekend of the big dance

Griffin is definitely injured. Could not walk on one leg. I hope Wrightsell did not get a headache, which would put him right back in concussion hold out. We overachieved this year, but without those two guys, we are really hurt.

This game was hard to watch. Just an awful performance from everyone outside of Sears and Estrada. We were beaten badly.

Having said that, that last 7.5 minutes of tape needs to be sent to the league. They scored one FG in that stretch and scored 26 points. There were legit fouls mixed in, but that was one of the softest stretches of whistles I've seen. Game was already over and the officials still thought they needed to take over.

I love Nate and I think he is the best basketball coach we have ever had but his management of the rotation and allotment of minutes regarding Cosby, Stevenson, Walters, and Diobate has been a fricking disaster.

Yes. Our team lost it, but Florida was 40/46 from the line. We were 20/25. A 20 point advantage in an 18 point Florida win. You call that refs having no effect on the game?

Is it just me, or has it seemed that the selection committee views conference tournaments as meaningless in terms of your seeding?

I remember when Auburn won it. They were rewarded with a 5 seed. The line they were already projected to. And were then sent out West.

The actual negative of getting bounced early in the SECT is smelling like total shite going into the Dance. We got punked by Stackhouse a few years ago and came out just as flat in round one against Notre Dame.

I think we need a win or two in the conf tourney to feel good about ourselves. Besides… this teams success is wholly dependent on whether they’re hot or cold. The defense just isn’t there to rely on.

That's a good comment. Winning is very important, but the most important priority is the health of the players. I hope they get through the season without anyone getting hurt.

I don’t think it really matters as this point. Whether we are a 4 or 7 seed, the only way this team can win against a decent opponent is to shoot 40%+ from downtown and pray the other team has no frontcourt size.

Was the defense really bad in the first half today?
Did you watch the game properly?
Aside from a few mistakes, the defense in the first half was really good. But Florida didn't make any contact, but he did get a soft call.

There is no management of this roster that makes it good. There is too much inexperience.

Yes, it was. They were definitely over a 1.1 in the first half

True. We foul a lot because we suck on defense. But 24 FTs in the last 7.5 minutes is an absurd number that was boosted by an incredibly soft whistle on one end of the floor. We had a guy laid out on a "loose ball" that was deemed "incidental contact" because it "had no effect on the outcome of the play" even though the ball was in his hands at the time of contact. Oats has to send that tape in for review.

This had no influence on the outcome of the game, but CBB officiating is horrible and has to be addressed.

The neat thing about CBB officiating is that those calls happen on the road, unless that road is in Coleman Coliseum.

Wasn’t Shows on the call for the free throw fest at Auburn too? Basically if he’s on the whistle, if we are down at the half it’s over.

This is such a weird way to describe it. The offense not giving “them” (the defense) help. They are the same players. Lol
