can we please stop hearing how hard the Jungle is to play in?

Since '20-21 season, Aub is 51-9 and Ala is 52-6.

Obviously I'm biased because I fricking hate them and want them to fail and suffer until the heat death of the universe, but "The Jungle" is a top 1 cringeworthy facility nickname in worldwide sports.

Auburn is hard to play at in football and basketball even though Bama has better home records. That's because Bama is a better program in both sports, so they should win. Auburn is a middling football team and solid bball team but they play about 2 levels above that at home.

I think another factor in all this is Mrs. Crystal Oats.

Which I'm not sure if anyone is aware of, but she's originally from Jackson, MS. So she's a Southern women who met Nate in college.

From Nate Oats.

I figured Latrell and Mark had the extra year, but I had assumed Grant's eligibility was up (probably because I assumed he would be drafted).

Sears, Wrightsell, Griffen, Nelson with Walters, Stevenson, and Dioubate having a full season under their belt is going to be nice. Adding in Reid, Sherrell, Cunningham, and hopefully Nolan Traore would make us a title favorite next season (and that's before considering potential portal additions).

Starters:

Sears
Wrightsell
Griffen
Reid
Nelson

Rotation:

*Traore
Sherrell
Stevenson/Walters/Dioubate
Cunningham/Cosby/KP

Possible Transfers:
Parker
Cosby
Walters
Dioubate
Stevenson

Are we going to renovate CC or just build an entirely new place?

Supposedly new building near US-82 and Campus Drive.

I would be delighted to have Sears and Nelson back, but didn't they both already test the pre-draft process last season?

It would be a coup to keep them but this roster is essentially a real center short of being a 1-seed caliber team.

Latest Bracketology has Bama at 3 seed. First round game would be drawing winner of Butler/Gonzaga. That's kind of a nightmarish 1st game as a 3 seed. 2nd round would be Texas Tech as the 6 seed. They are a week removed from beating Kansas by 30 points. Of course a lot will change, but didn't like those draws

That can't be right. 3 seed plays the 14. Play in game would be 11 or 12 seeds.

Edit - Our first game would be High Point. Texas Tech (#6) would be playing the winner of Butler/Gonzaga.

Disregard, has us drawing High Point first then drawing Texas Tech vs Gonzaga/Butler winner. I misread the bracket.

Yes, I realized after the fact when it dawned on me that the play in games were 11 seeds for the at large play ins and 3 seed would draw 14 first. I got a little antsy.

It’s good to dream and that’d be awesome but it’s hard to put stock in anyone returning next year no matter how much they contributed the previous year sadly.

No thank you. I randomly watched one of their games one day and they play a style of basketball that I could easily see propelling them to being this year's Cinderella. Not much defense, but they played pretty up tempo, whipped the ball around, and got all kinds of open looks. They can really score. It was almost like watching us with Big South athletes.

Covid has hit my house so I can’t use one of my tickets for the game tomorrow. I’d just like face if anyone wants it.

I don't want Stevenson to leave either. Didn't he reclassify for us, so he's still very young? I feel like his ceiling is too high to let him go.

I could be wrong, but I'd be a little surprised if we lost anyone outside the following 7 players.

Stevenson
Dioubate
Walters
KP
Cosby
Pringle
Wague

And I'm not sure if I'd consider any of them a huge enough loss that can't be replaced or even improved by what we have coming in or could get in the portal. My guess is we'd lose probably 3 or 4 of these guys to bigger roles elsewhere, but even losing 4-5 of those guys wouldn't be a huge loss.
