Well, yeah, but having known the good Reverend for a while that is just because he got an early start on happy hour. For which I'm jealous, I had to go grocery shopping today and sort out some bills, I will have to get a late start.

This seems to line up with what someone on here said not long ago that Enos was an a-hole

A win loss record that fans have no control over

But that’s the nature of most fans, they’re easy to laugh at and troll

If this proves one thing, it’s that we don’t ever need to hire a MFer who wears a visor ever again.

I've never seen this board flip on someone as fast as they flipped on Briles once he was gone.

Last year he was a Mickey Mouse offense full of empty calories that could gain yards but not get in the endzone, this year he would have had us winning the West.

I don't think briles would have looked this bad but I doubt we looked great under him either.... Dan and Kendal both have real similar ceilings for different reasons

Thanks Rev.

A lot of this comes from a sermon I remembered from a preacher of mine (wish I remembered all the other sermons, too). He was talking about politics but the gist of it was that when people are dissatisfied they look forward to change in hopes that things will get better. So with a new politician coming into office there’s always high hopes and usually a honeymoon along with rose petal parades and all sorts of lovely things. People feel really good about it and everyone wants to experience that feeling. And then as time goes on and reality sets in all come to realize as the Talking Heads sang about that it is “the same as it ever was”. This is where you hear rinse and repeat so often.

How to fix the program is far beyond me but I’m certainly not convinced that staff changes, including a change at head coach, will fix the program. The situation is much more complex than that. We had some good seasons in football in my lifetime and it was great to experience that but I don’t know that we will get to that place again. Basketball and baseball are a completely different story (thankfully there’s hope there backed up by recent really good seasons, results, and landing top notch talent).

It’s not that I’m against change but change for change’s sake or change to produce a certain set of optics aren’t going to get you where you need to go.

Arkansas has always faced an uphill battle since joining the SEC, and now that EVERYTHING revolves around how much much money you can hand out, we are at an even bigger disadvantage. Doesn't mean we can't be competitive, but reaching the top of the hill is even harder.

I think y’all are over complicating why we’ve sucked. It’s because we’ve had shite coaches. Good coach wins shitty coaches don’t. Look at that talent at A&M and how bad they’ve done. If you have a good coach even with just top 20-30 talent you’ll win 7-8 games a year. Utah never has top classes but they’ve got great coaches and win every year. Same with Kansas state

Arkansas isn't looking to get to the top.

They need to try harder and stop being a bottom dweller.

They can start by not hiring bad coaches.

No excuse Arkansas should be having a losing record this year.

As bad as people want to lay the blame on Enos, Sam Pittman and his terrible in game coaching lost Arkansas winnable games that could have kept Arkansas in the hunt for the West title.

Football can be about the Jimmys and Joes, X's and O's.

But what stands out the most is confidence.

Alabama goes into each game expecting to win that is what they do.

LSU goes into each game expecting to win and they do most of the time.

Georgia goes into each game expecting to win and they do.

Florida use to have that attitude but they lost it.

A&M has very good recruiting classes but they never have lost that loser attitude. They don't expect to win but lose.

Arkansas doesn't expect to win and lost five games by single digit scores.

The attitudes of the team is a reflection of the head coach and Sam Pittman is clueless which means the team is confused and frustrated.

So let us do the dreaded in hindsight review now that the body is in the ground.

Pittman hired an OC for the offense he wanted to have. Not the offense we had. Hell, we would have been better served going with the wishbone and using quick hitting dive plays and midread options.

So where do we go from here?

The sad thing is if we keep our current players and KJ moves on Enos might have been a really solid choice. We hired a run and shoot guy to run the flexbone if you will. Next year we should have a completely different look on offense.

We need to accept there are no magic bullets out there anymore. We can't just run the RPO and expect miracles, Kendell Briles is the most hated man in Texas running the same system he did here and he scored the exact same amount of points last week that we did. 3.

Whatever direction we intend to go, with whatever HC (and we should probably show Pittman the door and eat the monetary loss), we need to zero in on an offensive identity. Are we going to go veer option? I formation down hill running? Air raid? We aren't Michelle Yeoh. We can't be Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. To score points and win games we need to better at one thing than the rest of the SEC.
