They should train Jam and a few of our WRs in the same class how to block.

I think so. Him and Justice. McClellan is a dog but there are so many plays where him and Williams get tackled where I think that the other two would have broken and gotten big gains.

I expected him to be getting starter numbers of reps by now. The state of this team and some of the personnel choices are baffling to me.

They both ran the ball well but but also whiffed on pass pro. Can't be RB1 if you can't block.

Jam was in the game earlier than before. He broke off at least one good run. I think he will get more carries next week. Seems like the coaches want to get him the ball on the perimeter.

Jase is doing a great job this year. I have no beef with him being RB1. But i think Jam is significantly better than Roydell.

I have said here many times he is one of our best backs . It feels like sometimes guys don’t play bc they “ don’t know all the audibles of the punting team”( sarcasm) but you get the point . As an OC , you have to find things players CAN do and not dwell on what they currently can’t . Supposedly , the Knock is he can’t pass pro…. Well jase and others are not great either . You can bring him in to A) run the ball or B) send him out in a route and use a TE to stay in pass pro without giving awY tendencies . A back shouldn’t have to stonewall a 250lb Lb in the A gap just to touch the field at all . The guy has some juice… find a role for him and Haynes until they are more of a complete back

There was one play where Burton was downfield destroying Arkansas tacklers - this guy has got it. But we have a couple of guys who just stand around when the ball isn't coming to them. So frustrating

We have a 7 man rotation at WR right now:

Burton
Bonds
Brooks
Prentice
Law
Benson
Hale

It’s on the WR coach and OC to bench/process/develop anyone who can’t/won’t/doesn’t know how to run block BEFORE they get back on the field.

We could process two just to get the other guys attention and still be deep at WR. If you aren’t putting in effort in your routes and responsibilities why are you getting playtime in a crowded receiver room?

3 of those you mentioned, simply can't catch in a game. They drop at least 2 of 3 thrown to them.

Which again begs the question as to why they are currently in the rotation.
