Have there been any rumblings this week of a new starter at QB? I know we played a close game against UGA, but we had less than 100 yds passing. Is the plan this week to use PT as a running QB with some RA sprinkled in or has HG been getting more reps with the 1s?

Also - board feels kind of dead other than petty infighting...

WE HAVE LSU THIS WEEK LET'S GOOOO

Corch told me that HG was getting 1st team reps in prep for Georgia and all off week for his first start at LSU.

I think with improved play from Thorne, rumors of Holden starting died down.

Did he look better all around? I know he moved the ball with his legs - was our leading rusher, but 10/19 84yd 1int 0td...

Just hate that state line.

Thorne threw the ball well but the WR’s were allergic to the football apparently against UGA. Too many drops.

I think some posters just avoid the place because every thread is eventually the same.

Drops aside, if Thorne can just make quicker reads and get the ball out to the easy throw earlier, we would be in a great position. His performance for UGA had a lot that we need him to do. Still missed way too many wide open receivers and held onto the ball. Fix that and obviously the drops, and this offense would be competitive.

Than the A&M game? 1000% absolutely.

Don’t get me wrong, he still looked pretty bad but it was a lot better.

A&M Thorne has no business being in the game. UGA Thorne could potentially be serviceable.

5 straight games of less than 100 yards passing against P5 is trash.

Nobody expected Freeze to beat Georgia.

We expect him to fix the offense.

Less than 100 is ridiculous.

I just keep lurking to see if Corch has posted more pics of his wife.

Isn't that number up to 8 or 9 games now?

In a row

I don't believe he improved, the play calling was different for sure and may have helped him, but he missed reads a lot and made several bad throws. Is he the only problem? Nope

Once our QBs are able to push the ball up the field then ill see improvement.

The underneath stuff that goes nowhere is akin to showboat dribbling while
the defender never gets faked out.

We need chunk plays.

He absolutely played better. Again like I said it was still horrible. He got the ball out. He didn’t stare at a blitzer and take a sack. He actually made a pretty good back shoulder throw in a crucial moment with pressure in his face and the WR dropped it.

He wasn’t making as many losing plays. Was some of it due to play calling? Yeah I do think so but that goes into whether he plays or not also.

I believe any improvement was negligible. I just expect more from a veteran QB and I'm not saying you don't. If we had no background of who he is, we would not consider him a QB that played a lot of games in division 1 football.

I do not have the knowledge or understanding that Hugh Freeze does, but if his plans were to make a change based on Thorne's play vs Uga, I would not change my plans. Doesn't mean Geriner would be a great solution because we won't know until he gets significant playing time, but Thorne didn't do enough to thwart that plan if that indeed was the plan.

Improved play by Thorne squashed the Holden talk.

I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I can guarantee LSU will gameplan for the QB draw/read option. It was our saving grace against Georgia.

What will we have without it?

I wish Ashford wasn’t so inconsistent. We could be okay with a 2013 kind of offense.
