Didn’t come out of no where he had like 10-12 best heisman odds last week ….. he’s got some of the best stats out there …. And he showed out in the biggest game of the year against some who said was the team with this best win this year ….. now OU has the best win.

Another who has not kept up with DG. This kid is good. But he needed a marque game to get the national press to jump on the bandwagon. That happened Sat.

Oklahoma Football
@OU_Football
DG named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week

This stat is all time vs tx:

Most yards total offense (rush+pass) vs Texas:

418 - Kyler Murray 2018 Big 12 CG (39 rush/379 pass)
410 - Baker Mayfield 2016 (20/390)
398 - Dillon Gabriel 2023 (113/285)
396 - Kyler Murray 2018 (92/304)
366 - Jalen Hurts 2019 (131/235)

Look at his 10+ Yard throws vs tx:

mean you're the one getting worked up over one dude who writes on the internet putting out his personal heisman list 2 months before the award..

Well he can get mad now literally everyone has him in top 3 … poor UGA qb who has done nothing vs no one …. It’s his first year starting at UGA for the love of god ….. he will get his due if he keeps playing great …. Beating Kentucky and beating Texas are two light years apart … no offense Kentucky I think what your coach has done is awesome . It’s also not Garbriels fault UGA has looked like horse shite for 3/4 of their season .

It's sad that you measure a player's overall success by their stats against one team.

Dillon Gabriel - 1,878 Passings Yards, 16TDs / 2 Ints; 208 Rushing Yards, 5 TDs

Brock Bowers - 545 Receiving Yards, 4TDs, 7 Rushing Yards, 1TD

Jordan Travis - 1,198 Passing Yards, 12TDs, 1 Int; 119 Rushing Yards, 2 TDs

Seems pretty reasonable to have Gabriel in it right now.

Look our defense is putrid. Our team as a whole isn’t top tier but Jayden deserves at least an invite to New York. The kid is special.

Top QBs in opponent-adjusted EPA/play through week 6.

Note that this includes all plays (passing and rushing).

Most of your threads are a joke. If I was you, I would take a break on starting threads, or at least think before starting a thread.

Fans reposting useless mid-season power rankings is akin to feeding the animals at the park. Everyone knows it encourages bad habits, yet ppl still feel compelled to do it for unknown reasons.

It's been a joke since Charles Woodson won the Heisman over Peyton Manning.

Gino Toretta over Marshall Faulk was much more egregious.

How about Brock Bowers?

UK 132 yards 1 td 18.9 ypg
AU 157 yards 1 td 19.6 ypg
UAB 121 yards 2 td 13.4 ypg
USCe 54 yards 0 td 7.7 ypg
Ball 3 yards 0 td 3 ypg
UTM 78 yards 0 td 15.6 ypg

Half way thru the season and a TE has 545 yards 4 tds 14.7 ypg

That is insane. If he does the same or better and carry games in the 2nd half of the season, he will be in NY for the ceremony

Now put Jayden Daniels numbers up against ALL those and he should at least be in the conversation. Hell, he's put up his numbers against RANKED: Florida State, Ole Miss, and Missouri.

Never seen a 2 loss heisman before the actual vote … I am sure someone will show me it has happened before ….

Not saying he’s not good enough to win LSU fans but right now to many undefeated teams with good qbs .
