Penalties gonna probably play a huge role in this game.

We all know the matchup is tough upfront for our offense. But it's absolute critical we don't implode with false starts in the red area. There is going to be some. It's almost inevitable with the environment, but we've got to capitalize on the chances we do get down there.

Absolutely.

Its simple: if we don't commit a bunch of penalties, and protect the ball, then we likely win with ease.

There have been signs that we are cleaning this stuff up, but penalties have been absolutely killer for us the last 3 years. Its been a huge equalizer for lesser teams that we've struggled with.

Its all about focus and discipline.

One of Rees' many offensive trademarks is collapsing in the red zone. So this should be fun to watch.

But, hey trust the Golding-loving boomers when they tell you Rees is still Sark 2.0. He was just given the short end of the stick when it comes to talent both here and at ND.

Man, the incessant bitching on this board lately has reached new levels.

Well whoever this alter is has made it his new alters main goal to convince the world Tommy Rees is not only not a great coordinator but actually the worst coordinator in the history of college football.

Yep. We've been pretty good with the penalties in all the games but Texas, but Texas was the only one so far when we've been significantly challenged personnel wise and we failed pretty miserably.

The hidden yards will be huge in this game - field goals, punting, penalties. Gotta win on all 3 of them.

Yeah, really scratching my head over Rees telling Jalen to hit the DB right in the numbers

Analytics love A&M's defense, i'm genuinely scared on offense. Getting Auburn - Hurts vibes. Our OLine needs to play out of it's mind to limit mistakes under pressure

Exactly.

Same ones who defended Golding his first three seasons and defended Bill O'Brien (a few even to this day, and BOB has utterly ruined Patriots offense worse than that DC last season!).

Same ones who love to blame the players for everything.

Now Rees is a savant but he doesn't know how to run plays that creativity cause confusion for opponents. We basically run the most vanilla shotgun offense and people want to commend him.

It is ludicrous.

Even Saban ripped his arse last game. Saban has been trying to be cool and calm and couldn't take Rees playcalling anymore and lit him up for it.

You seem to have made up a guy so you can get really mad about them.

This is the second time I've seen you post a reference to people saying Rees is on par with Sarkisian. I've never seen that here, and I'm curious where you're getting that.

What are you talking about? Reese isn’t terribly poplar around here, is he?

Is this a Buddah alter?

I kind of wonder if Rees is a "one and done" OC, sort of like Major Applewhite was.

I really wish this board had better UI. I would love to have the ability to block specific users. We have a couple useless posters that say the same thing in every post (Milroe is the worst ever, Rees is the worst ever).

The fact that you're agreeing with the now-obviously shitty alter makes me realize your posts can probably be skipped from here on out.

That would cut down on the amount of clickbait alter threads that are the site owner's bread and butter.

Pretty sure that would result in no one being able to respond to anyone

Texas melt weekend would've been a bloodbath

Another board I used to frequent (before being banned by the shithead mod) allowed you to ignore other members. They could see your posts but you wouldn't see theirs.

Well whoever this alter is

I don't think that it is an alter because on the rant they seem to have been a Bama fan for a while if you look at some of their posts. They've racked up 900+ posts in less than 2 months so kind of hard to avoid noticing. Anyways, almost all of their posts on this board are negative af. Not saying that people should be sunshine pumpers because both ends of the spectrum can be annoying.

I'm not sold on Tommy Rees being shite or not yet. More time is needed before the answer is apparent. We had OL issues last year too, its just that a Heisman winning QB was able to make chicken salad out of chicken shite, and he did not inherit that QB this season.

I hope he develops so he isn't. I really hope he can take the steps to grow better the same way I hope Milroe does.

All I have said is that isn't what he has shown so far and he and Milroe need to get things rolling.

For the life of me, if we lose the opening toss and receive the kickoff, can we please not try to return it? Just fair catch it and take it at the 25.

If we have 0 turnovers and limited penalties and still lose. They are just better. But I tend to think if we limit that stuff we come out on top.
