Hard to blame Makhi for being fed up with Muss. He gets the rebound, then his PG turns his back on him and starts running up the court while he's trying to get it to him.

That was not on him. He's been our only consistently good player the last couple games

He has been solid the last few games, but his overall season has not been that great. Stupid fouls in the first half of season. Things that seemed like likely wouldnt have happened with his brother around. I also believe both twins offensive game is better, and was better last year than what most gave them credit for.

For me, Graham being shown the door and keeping the twins in tact would have been the play. Those two are also big men. Not skinny tall, weak players like you get in Graham and Brazile.

Overall roster situation...what would be the thought on this team if it consisted of Mitchell, Mitchell, Brazile, Mark, Menifield, Blocker, Ford, Dunning Jr., Brazile, Fall, Davenport, and Lawson.

Ford and Dunning could have taken big steps forward with this team. I hated to see both go.

Take out Brazile, he plays with zero effort.

And to think we got a steal from Mizzou

Yea, but there is no way Muss was going to bail on Brazile after stating to the world that his entire offensive game plan last year was centered around the guy (I also think A LOT of people have forgotten this Muss excuse a season ago).

Which, looks completely stupid at this point in Brazile's career here at Arkansas. THAT is one of the biggest things that has me questioning Muss's coaching ability. How can THAT guy be the focus of your offense when you have Black, NSJr, Walsh, Council, etc.

that was a very well thought out reply and I really can't argue with those facts.

Muss has intangibles that are incredible and marketing the program, recruiting (somewhat), and having good assistants (until this season?) and making the dance. Our metrics of success have moved because of him being here since MA.

But what you wrote is pretty condemning of his overall value. Do you think, with our current Admin/Nil situation that we would actually be able to pry Beard from OM? I know we are a much better program in our history, facilities, etc. But they have an AD who get's the new way of doing things, are working on facilities, and have a true NIL game going. Thoughts?

Outside of poaching a coach from Kentucky, Tennessee, and maybe Florida...every coach in the league would be in play for a program like Arkansas. The Hunts are fully behind the basketball program in regards to NIL. Lately, the money has just been wasted on not so great on court results, which leads to some apprehension. You have a guy getting NIL funds who has quit TWO SEASONS in a row.

Hunter isnt currently involved in any basketball NIL. Everything is 100% completely handled by Muss and the basketball staff.

In regards to taking Beard from Ole Miss, I see no reason why that would not happen if Arkansas were to have an opening. Muss is the 9th highest paid coach in the nation currently. Arkansas has shown it does not mind paying coach at a top 10 national level. Ole Miss isnt going to do that and has not done that historically. If Arkansas wants Beard and Beard wants to coach at Arkansas, I believe it would work out.

Muss has had all the resources he needed the last two years and shite the bed. I think he's checked out mentally and already moved on. I think he leaves at the end of the season and we go after Beard. Hunts are tired of the shite and ready for a NC. Plus Muss knows the money is going to dry up. Too much shite behind the scenes for some of it not to be his fault. Keeping Pinion while letting Dunning and Ford go is inexplicable. Separating the twins? Obviously he overlooked or ignored some issues with Devo.

I hate to say it, but it seems as if the risk of giving Muss more time is too much to risk. Hopefully, we can find a mutually agreeable manner to part ways while Beard is still possibly on the table. I honestly think if we don't take him now, someone else will. I'm sure the Stephens would be behind it as well. Never hurts to get them back in the mix if possible.

Dunning is barely playing at UAB and scoring 1 pt per game.

Ford is scoring about 9.6 pts per game and plays about 25 mins at A State.

Both are 4-5 yr development type players and Muss wants/needs immediate impact. I don't think either is a huge loss, but they are the kinds of guys you used to help soldidy your roster with and they could become good starters by their Jr and Sr year. In the Portal/NIL age, they are expendable assets.
