I had the throw to Arian Smith at 66 yards (from our 18 to their 16). Pretty frigging strong!!!

When the deep receiver is totally wide open he expects a high percentage pass, not a fast line drive. Beck threw the wrong kind of ball several times. He will need to correct that and I believe he will.

Or Smith was in the wrong position. Either way it would’ve been nice to have that. Even though it hit him in the hands that was a tough catch running flat out and having to adjust for the ball basically coming in straight over your head.
I’d like to see that ball on the left hash for the route and angle he was running.

It was an obvious post route. 100% plain as day, and Beck threw it like it was a fly route to his back-shoulder.
You try turning your head 180 degrees during a dead sprint and keep your eye on a ball with a helmet on. Unless you have eyes in the back of your head or you can do a Neo from The Matrix, there’s going to be a moment when you can’t see the ball while turning your head from left side to right side.
The PI call on first drive saved that drive, because that was a bad uncatchable pass.
Beck throwing the ball out of bounds when he had an easy 10 yards of open running space in front of him was bad.
The other wide open deep miss was bad.
The throwing behind guys on 3rd and 4th downs, along with consistently not seeing wide open receivers, is an official pattern of bad now.
And thank god opposing DB’s can’t catch balls that hit them in the hands, so far.

It is what it is IMO...
We've pissed away our preseason chances to see and evaluate what Brock and Gunnar can do.
The real season is upon us now and its Carson, win or lose, strap it up, stock your liquor cabinet and hang on...
