Do you people want a recap of last week's game?
No?
Alrighty!
BAMA looks to defend the castle against Kiffin (who's probably tweeting on the toilet as we speak) and his #15 Ole Miss team. Kiffin is hellbent on taking on his first win against his mentor (and he hopes to be his successor) CNS. Last year, Kiffin was close but no cigar, as the Crimson Tide took the win in Oxford, to the dismay of all the Ole Miss fans in the stadium. This is the first game in SEC play for both Universities as they both hope to reach Atlanta this December.
Series History:
These teams have met 70 TIMES, with the series record being 54-10-2 BAMA.
The Crimson Tide currently have a 7-game winning streak against the Rebels, and are looking to make it 8-straight.
Past Season Results for the Landshark-Rebels-Bears:
2022: 8-5
2021: 10-3; #11
2020: 5-5
2019: 4-8
2018: 5-7
Scouting the Other Side:
OM's Head Coach: Kiffin. You know him.
OM's OC's: JD Baker and Charlie Weis Jr. JD was formerly the TE's coach at USC before moving to Oxford. Weis was formerly the OC/OA at South Florida, the Falcons and at Alabama - everywhere Kiffin goes, Weis comes along with him.

If Kiffin doesnt win. He has no business being HC at Bama when Saban retires.

I feel very little optimism about this game. I have a sense of hope that we will come out and look better, but in my mind I know that realistically it’s unlikely that they’ve gotten much better in week’s time. It’s likely that they’ll still look soft and undisciplined and we will just hope that the defense can get enough stops and we can get enough big plays to squeak out a win.

We can score points against OM.
I believe we have the sufficient tools.
Oline is one position that can improve greatly throughout the season. Not saying that it will happen, but crazier things have happened.
Either way, the pressure is on, and they'll either fold, or sack up and fight like hell for 4 quarters.
I for one am excited about tomorrow's game.

Bama couldn't handle UT's hurry up offense. What do you think Kiffin will do? It won't be pretty.

Shame we couldn't against USF, no matter who the QB was. A goddamn gopher could've suited up and threw for 400 yards against that shithole team.

UT like Texas? Texas who scored 13 points in the first three quarters before we gifted them some short fields? Not sure that’s a good or accurate comp.
We probably will lose though. I peeked at this thread for some reassurance but a couple of posters whose opinion I respect more than my own already seem to think we are gonna get run.
Ole Miss’ offensive line is as bad or worse as ours but I trust Lane to scheme around it better than our coaches

If the defense isn’t fantastic, this is a distinct possibility.

My guess is the defense will play well for the first half and most of the second but because the offense will have so many 3 and outs that they'll get tired in the 4th quarter and start giving up big yards/scores.
I have zero faith in Rees having a good game plan. I may be wrong and hope I'm wrong but I don't think so.

Run Jalen run. Run all over that defense and sling that ball!

I’ll be honest I think we play well today if we have made some adjustments to the offense. Run Jalen, rollout, quick RPO. Nothing complicated. Does it always work, no. But it’s what he’s good at.
Defense honestly is fine. Play assignment football and we are in it.
I think we have a lot of close games this year but we can win them.
LFG!
