I will say I didn’t think the fan base would flip this quick though, figured there would be more division.

I don't think anyone really had us losing to BYU. Made it much worse than an SEC loss.

You either are climbing the mountain or you're falling into the abyss.

Sam isn't far from losing this team to the abyss.

Nobody ever actually believed he was a good coach. They just liked him. Thus the quick flip.

So does 2-5 after the road trip qualify for the abyss

Not far from Chad level.

State, Auburn, Missouri and Florida will be tough games.

Confidence and emotions are so essential in football.

It is more than just if this team is bad or not but are they willing to give up or not.

That was a really shitty loss yesterday and by BYU standards wasn't a good team.

You absolutely cannot do that here if you want a good season.

Last night was a definition of a loser program.

I would argue the Liberty game is defining Sam's tenure. shite play against an inferior opponent, get outcoached, lose a winnable game

Never had me, but I’m a hater.

I never understood the love he was getting after the 9 win season. It struck me as the 1 good Bielema year.

So 9 wins in year 2, 2 years removed from literally the worst 2 years in program history, didn't tickle your fancy? That's some high arse standards lol

Sam was a stop gap stabilizer. Eveyone knee that, including him.

As soon as the program begins to slide back to Chad/John L/End of Bert levels, he's got to go and so a decent real coach Amy actually want to come here instead of having a Kiffin 2.0 and every coach looking at the team like it's a post apocalyptic nuclear waste site...

Hunter genuinely cannot afford to fall into an abyssal trench again.

He nerds to have a list started right now.

You nailed it imo. And I still like him, I just hope he rides off into the sunset of Hot Springs at the end of the season before things get too ugly - like foia requests and planes with banners flying over head at games like our wonderful fans have been known to do.

He’ll never be remembered as a bullshite bravado guy like Bert or the absolute worst coach ever like Chad to me.

It wasn’t the 9 wins, it was that we won them with lucky breaks. Last year those breaks didn’t come our way. BYU game, the breaks didn’t come our way.

You can’t rely on lucky breaks, you have to dominate feed the studs and break wills of the other team. That is what Alabama has done for the past decade and a half. Also only 3 (Mack Brown, Jimbo, Dabo) coaches have won a national championship in the past 20 years after year 3.

dude, I am coming along nicely to being a new darksider.. .However... Those lucky breaks in the 2nd season, following what was a disaster of a decade...

Yeah, so what. Something to build on with recruiting, development, experience, it isn't unworthy of building a bit of confidence to the point of not needing so many breaks in the future.

So, by the looks of thing. you may have been correct at being the 1st trumpet blower in this thing. Congrat!!!! ???

I think even CFP teams have lucky breaks every once in a while though. Heck just against us Alabama got lucky Kody Walker fumbled out of the endzone or we missed an extra point, or Mallett throws an INT when attempting to throw it out of bounds late in the game.

Normally there's at least one game a year where even the national championship team escapes when they probably shouldn't have. Most SEC games come down to a field goal one way or the other it seems.

I think everything I say is taken to the nth degree. I’m not saying lucky breaks aren’t good. I am saying 7 games decided by less than 15 points total isn’t good.
