Do you think the team is divided as the fans right now?

Seriously.... Just look at the discussion on this board alone. First, y'all wanted Buchner. Then, you wanted Simpson. Now, we're all split on who we want. Imagine how the team is feeling... This is a shite show. I just don't remember a time when Saban has bungled a QB decision so badly.

I think we are all now united that Buchner is not the answer.

Everyone just wants a guy who can win a game. Maybe we don't even have one, but we know that guy isn't Milroe or Buchner. Some have gone back to Milroe because he would lose marginally fewer games than Buchner, but the rest of us continue looking for someone who won't lead us to 7-5

If the o line doesn't gel it doesn't matter who the qb is !!!

I think that the team is honestly pretty proud that they won yesterday, especially the defense. They didn't seem all that dejected to me or anything. Which is a good, positive thing.

As far as the QB goes, I'm sure that the WRs want Milroe to play QB because he clearly gives them the best chance to get the ball.

The rest of the team just wants to win, and im assuming they think Milroe gives them the bwst chance of that.

Players don't look at this shite the way we do.

Some of us knew it wasn't Buchner before this little experiment. The others just dislike milroe.

Either way.. it's not great look.

It's just about clear the team on the offensive side of the ball wants Milroe at qb.

I think we can all agree that the O line is terrible.

I don't know if the team is divided in terms of fighting, but the team isn't able to gel or form an identity because we have no QB.

I think we need to give the freshmen a shot because it can't get any worse than Buchner and Simpson.

Ultimately this is all Saban's fault, and you're right in that he's bungled this QB situation beyond belief

I like naming a starter coming out of spring practice. That's what it's for. I know the portal is a factor, but I like letting a guy know he's THE guy heading into the summer and letting him assume that needed leadership role that you only get when you're the clear QB1.

I don’t think they’re all that worried about it.

No, not everybody.

There are some out there who would rather lose with Milroe than win with Simpson.

I’ll let you guess why.

But, looking around on social media, they’re now revising history- Jalen “only made 2 mistakes” against Texas and is the best QB we’ve ever had and is Joe Montana, Tom Brady, and Pat Mahomes all rolled into one.

There’s a lot of people butthurt at the prospect of Simpson starting over Milroe and it doesn’t have anything at all to do with his ability at QB.

You’re a fricking moron.

Nobody has to guess why. It’s because we just had our worst offensive performance in 16 years in a game where Milroe didn’t play a down.

shite. It’s a good damn thing. He’d have thrown 2 INTs, missed a whole bunch of receivers who were wide-arse open for TDs, thrown passes behind running backs who were wide-arse open for TDs and lost by 2 scores.

That’s rich.

Oh, you’re absolutely right about that. We know why.

What?

You don't think that it's possible that there are people just weren't at all impressed with Simpson yesterday? Ok.

Of course, there were. I didn’t say there weren’t.

But, that doesn’t negate the fact that there are also a significant portion of people who I described. I’m not necessarily talking about on this forum. I think most of us, here, are above that (although I’d question a few ).

I mean, Lonergan is probably the best pure passer of the bunch. I bet we see him before the year is up.

Just a matter of learning more of whatever we call a playbook imo.

That said, he'd probably take a beating behind this OL.

Simpsons knock out of camp is that he forces the ball into coverage and is a turnover waiting to happen. Then once it happened he didn't have the maturity to not let a bad play affect him moving forward.

Maybe they feel he has gotten better about it. However I would have suspected he would have passed Buchner on the depth chart if that was the case.

So a lot of people saying that Simpson is a better option because he is safer .. I don't believe that is the case.
