Is AD there?

Reportedly AD didn’t even make the trip. Snell still wasn’t 100% but wanted to give it a go. (Guessing this was the reason for the pitching “TBA” yesterday) With guys still under the weather, isn’t it more likely a virus or bug vs. food poisoning?

Get home, get well and rest up for LSU.

BIG NIGHT for Hammy! Happy for him. Would be huge for us if he gets hot these last two series.

Alabama baseball outlasted 21st-ranked Troy, 7-6, on Tuesday evening at Riddle-Pace Field. With the midweek victory, the 25th-ranked Crimson Tide is now 30-18 overall and finishes 20-4 in non-conference play during the regular season.

Alabama built a 3-0 lead after three innings and added two more in the fourth, highlighted by a solo home run from William Hamiter. Troy was able to get on the board with one in the bottom of the fourth before adding four in the fifth to tie things up at 5-5 through five. Hamiter helped UA regain the lead with a solo homer to start the sixth, a run that would prove key as both teams were able to cross one apiece in the eighth for the 7-6 final.

Hamiter led the Tide offense, finishing 2-for-3 with the two solo shots, two RBI, three runs and two walks. Will Hodo matched him in RBI with two as part of a 1-for-3 day that included a run, one walk and a hit-by-pitch. The win went to Aidan Moza (3-2) while Braylon Myers notched his second save of the season with a scoreless ninth that included one punchout.

From Head Coach Rob Vaughn
"You saw the energy start to come back in our guys the more that we played tonight. When we showed up to the yard today some guys were still a little bit dehydrated, and we were still missing some guys out there. But what a gritty effort by us against a really good Troy team."

The 25th-ranked Crimson Tide baseball team will welcome LSU to Sewell-Thomas Stadium this Friday through Sunday for Alabama's final conference weekend of the 2024 season. The two SEC Western Division foes are scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch in game one followed by a 4 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 p.m. open on Sunday. All three games of the series will air on SEC Network+.

Alabama's weekend with LSU will feature numerous promotions at The Joe. The theme for the three-game set will be 'Mother's Day', highlighting moms as part of the overall celebration of the Tide's final weekend at home during the regular season. Friday will feature a bobblehead giveaway for head coach Rob Vaughn. Fans are able to grab their voucher for a bobblehead that can be picked up in the seventh inning. Prior to Friday's series opener, there will be a flyover at The Joe. This will be the first flyover at Sewell-Thomas Stadium since its reopening in 2016.

Game two will be Alabama's 'Senior Day' to recognize the program's nine seniors on the current roster along with three senior staff members. Saturday's matchup will also be the third 'Alabama Hat Series' giveaway. Fans can get a cap at the gate that is unique to the series with the Tigers, with the third hat featuring a 'Crimson Tide' trucker hat design. To claim a hat, fans will need to get a voucher at the gate upon entering and redeem the voucher for their hat after the 7th inning stretch.

On Mother's Day, all mothers will receive flowers at the gates prior to Sunday's game. Pregame Sunday will also feature the Atlanta Braves Country Road Trip and an autograph signing in center field with select Alabama football players. For Sunday, fans can get their fifth 'Gameday at The Joe' button. The buttons are part of a season-long promotion and were handed out for select series. The finale will be the final 'Kids' Day at The Joe'. All kids 12-and-under will be able to run the bases postgame. Additionally, Sunday will be the Tide's fifth and final baseball card giveaway of the season. The cards are part of a season-long promotion that highlighted the 2024 roster. Kids can get their pack of cards and stay after the game to get autographs from the group of players featured on this Sunday's set of cards.

Alabama had nobody on down 7-6 in the bottom of the 9th with two outs. Eventually loaded the bases and won 8-7!
