Is Georgia vs South Carolina a big rivalry?

I have noticed lots of smack talk between the two schools. Are they rivals or is it because it is the first conference game for both teams?
I would say it reminds me of LSU fans vs but LSU fans hate everyone. Except for whomever is playing Alabama.

We’ve played 75 times and nearly every year since the late 50s. Usually a good game and our first SEC opponent.

nope - just a border feud - Carolina has but one rival - way up in the corner of the Upstate -

They're like that slow cousin you tease at the annual family reunion but stick up for at school. They're decent guys but we whip them regularly.

It's not a rivalry for UGA fans but we are #2 on SC's list of rivals, just behind clemson. It's a one-sided rivalry. SC fans will be reading bedtime stories to their great grandchildren about Lattimore The Dawg Whisperer.

We really don't like each other, and had a good stretch of games going from 2000-2017.
It's been very one-sided recently, as they got better and we got worse.
They also have a bunch of coaches on their staff that were directly responsible for USC falling off a damned cliff. At this point, I hate Muschamp and Bobo more than I hate UGa, if that makes sense.

Why is it that virtually every aggy fan that posts about football on this form, barely knows anything about sec football.

UGA has a rather large lead in the series, but SC annoying wins at the most inconvenient times.

This might be the greatest accomplishment Georgia ever did. Helping to take down UF, SC, AND Auburn in just a few years.
