Alabama fans, are you nervous at all about UTrans?, be honest

This track record (the only W was against a Notre Dame team than won only 4 games) combined with the dismal offensive performance against a terrible Rice team should ease your worries. But are you still a little nervous?

Yes. Still don't know what we really have at this point.

Is what you have just a little bit better than rice? That may be all it takes

In years past we've been fortunate enough to settle into a pattern of assuming they're going to win every game, until proven otherwise.
Honestly this season is the first in a while where I have no clue what's going to happen.
Too many new coaches, new players, (at least slightly) new schemes, and all of those associated variables.
So no — I for one am not nervous at all, because I just have no idea what the expectations are yet.

Alabama is going to beat them by 20

I am nervous enough to believe we will win by 10. Not really nervous - but not expecting a blowout either. A slow, anaconda choke out more likely

Alabama is 100-5 at home since 2008. The five losses were teams with a Heisman winner, won a national championship, or both (and a 10-3 Ole Miss team in 2015).
Texas has played three games on the road in front of 70,000 or more in the last decade. They have not played on the road in front of over 100,000 since 2005. Their road record has been abysmal.
Now none of that will win the line scrimmage but this talk from Texas fans about drilling Alabama in BDS is absurd.
Can Texas make Milroe beat them passing the ball? Can Alabama’s secondary hold up to Texas’ WRs? That’s the key.
I think Alabama wins a close one. Something like 24-20.

Doesn't matter, Clemson wasn't worried bout Duke, tcu wasn't worried about Colorado and last year atm wasn't worried bout app state

I agree with wasp and others than "nervous" isn't really the right term because I'm not entirely sure how good we are or how good they are. I respect the fact that Texas has a bunch of really good players and a really good staff and could absolutely beat us if we don't play well.
Liked what I saw last Saturday, but that was a dress rehearsal. This coming Saturday is the real deal. We played with poise and efficiency last Saturday, didn't have any silly penalties or errors and all around looked like a well coached, well prepared team. But that's easy when you have the physical advantage across the board. Will be different Saturday. Mainly I'm just looking forward to seeing our guys play a big game in an absolute mad house environment and see what they got.

Your comment about wide receiver is interesting, I was looking at an interesting stat this morning, the UTrans quarterback did not complete a pass over 12 yards the entire game versus rice, despite dozens of attempts

Returned to the state of Texas after the win at Kyle only to get boatraced by Texas State.

Yep. 2nd game of the season with too many changes to not be nervous. Texas D looked pretty good up front. I think it will be a close, low scoring game. Hopefully Malachi & Jaylen will be good to go. Glad it's at home.

Comparing UTrans to App state….. that’s probably pretty applicable

Ewers seems to be inconsistent, but when he's spinning it well he can make any throw on the field. We saw that last year. And he's got about 10 different legitimate options to throw to. Plus, there's no way they were doing anything other than base vanilla stuff against Rice.

Uncertain is the word. Bama has to take the next step vs Texas. And that’s what Saban usually emphasizes on game 2.

I don’t know about base vanilla, I think most of their fanboy analysts said they opened up the playbook in the second half after failing to reach the end zone in six out of seven drives in the first half

Yes.
Milroe looked fine against MTSU. He’s still inexperienced and is bound to make some mistakes. Have to weather those.
Need Moore and Key (two starting DBs injured in MTSU game) to be okay. The matchup against Texas wide reciever/passing game is going to be huge and need best players available.
Alabama’s offensive line was pretty inconsistent against MTSU. The right guard is a weak spot, the center struggled with accurate snaps, and Proctor looked good at LT but looked like a true fresh at times too.
Texas obvoously will have its own early season issues to work out but the items above cause me some comcern wirh Bama. Glad the game is in Tuscaloosa for Milroe and the offensive line.

Yep. Ewers will probably look stellar against us (he was looking pretty good before he got injured last year). I still don’t know exactly where this Alabama team measures up. Hopefully Alabama plays well and Alabama fans, myself included, can feel more confident going forward.

I get you hate Texas but they have good players, a great playcaller coach and gave us all we wanted last year. On top of that we're new in a bunch of areas and this is our first real test.
So yes, we see this as a tough game that we could lose if things go sideways. We'll all have a much better idea of how good some of our question mark areas are late Saturday night.

Absolutely, Ewers was carving us up to the point that they would have easily beat us last year before he went out.
I really liked what I saw week 1 from our guys though, and TX seemed to struggle at times with Rice. Optimistic, but definitely nervous.
