Beck on the road in front of 95k in a night game

OU just scored 10 TDs on 10 possessions and have a healthy Dillon Gabriel

I think it would be closer than y’all think and could have seen OU winning.

Don't understand why that game got axed while Bama/Texas did not.

OU has zero worries on offense with Gabriel and now Jackson Arnold. The defense looked like the OU defenses of 10 years ago saturday, just in team speed, and size, but that game didn’t prove much on that side of the ball. The real test is this Saturday against SMU who’s a great team offensively with some very good skill players. UGA would have been a great game. OU has the athletes to hang with UGA and possibly win, but until I see the defense show it’s truly an elite BV defense I won’t be comparing OU to the reigning national champs on the field.

Because the SEC wants a team in the playoffs and Georgia is their best bet

According to the SEC it was because the return trip to Georgia would not have happened with OU in the conference. I think it was BS, I'm sure if given the chance OU and UGA would have played it. Alabama had already been to Texas, this year was the end of the home and home.

I’d make fun of LSU, but it’s increasingly clear you’re a Sooner.

Think hard, you’ll get there eventually.

Because Bama and Texas finished their home/home before Texas joined the league

I still think it is stupid, they should have kept this series and just had game 2 be a conference game…

Its astounding that adults still can't wrap their heads around this concept that is so simple a child could understand the return trip wasn't until 2031. Our trip there would be OOc, theirs here would be as a league member. We'd essentially be going on the road to play an ooc game at Oklahoma with no return trip, in ehat world does that make any sense? Bama/texas wasnt canceled bc the series will conclude prior to expansion. It truly could not be easier to understand.

But we would get a return trip, just with them as conference members - we should have fought to keep that game

Would you schedule a game at Ohio state, Texas, etc as a one off with no trip back? If not, why not?

Yes...that's entirely the point. We would NOT get a return trip. We'd be playing a one-off out of conference game with no return. Its utterly retarded to accept that
