4 minutes to go, down by 7, and they are running an offensive series like they have 10 minutes to go in the game.

A PI on 4th and 18 from their own 20 extended the game after they ran off 2 minutes of time on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down.

Still lost 45-38, too.

ETA: Guilbeau is a dumbass.. (for the downvoters)

He is recruiting well.

I might be wrong but I wouldn’t sleep on him. He has a complete rebuild.

He didn't have a rebuild last year when he took over. That was an objectively good team with 6 draft picks (3rd most in the SEC), including the #5 overall that was their QB. They went 6-7 and lost their last 3 in a row. By any metric that was underperforming.

By contrast, LSU finished 2021 with 39 scholarship players. The team was so decimated with opt outs and terrible roster management that they ended up starting a wide receiver at QB against K. State because they just didn't see the point in sending Nussmeier to the slaughter. Kelly came in and won 10 games in year one and by almost every metric and projection over performed expectations.

To your point, Florida is recruiting well this year, but Napier has proven nothing to warrant any possible expectations beyond maybe another 6-7 season. He's trotting out Graham Mertz as QB1. It might get ugly quick. And, by the way, his competition to the north has all the momentum in Florida right now. Norvell has the Seminoles looking like a legit playoff contender this year. If there's any Florida coach we shouldn't be sleeping on, it's him.

Nothing about UFs play last year left me thinking they were well coached.

Are you really gonna sit here and try to say Anthony Richardson was a good QB? He was awful at Florida and the arrogance of NFL front offices coupled with their infatuation of measurables doesn’t change that. On the field the guy sucked

Not sure what point you're trying to make. The Gators were 6-7 in 2021. Napier came in with a team that would later have 6 players drafted and finished with, wait for it, another 6-7 record.

You can make excuses all you want regarding how much Richardson "sucked." Kelly started a very similar QB last year skill-wise and got 10 wins out of him.

You think Richardson sucked? Just wait til you get a look at Mertz this year. Gators fans will be begging to have Richardson back. Begging.

Good coaches have won with much worse Qbs. In that FSU game Richardson had 14 straight incompletions. Bad QBing but that's terrible coaching.

24 months from now Billy will either be back in the Sun Belt or on Bama’s shadow staff presuming Saban is still around.

He was drafted 4th bro. Consider the fact the his college coaches put him in bad positions because they didn’t know how to adapt the office to meet his skill sets. Which do you think is more likely. BN miss used him or the guys paying him millions of dollars are stupid?

Kelly was a better hire, but Florida was a worse program to take over.

he has a great class but if he crashes and burns this year does Florida cut ties with him? A place like Florida shouldn’t be the 5th best team in the East like they are right now.

We were in an equal to or possible worse situation than UF as far as roster holes last year.

What BK did in his first year is honestly unheard of.

If he was more universally liked across other fanbases, people would be singing his praises.

But who cares. We know what we have with him and quite frankly, everyone else should be worried.

including the #5 overall that was their QB.

And this proves the draft has nothing to do with being a good football player.

You can only be so decimated. It can’t be worse or better.

Nothing of substance to add to the conversation. Hey, at least you're consistent. Not worse, not better, just consistent.

Are you saying 2022 lsu roster was just patched together and had no talent then overcame that huge disadvantage to win the west?

Losing by 7 on the road to a team who finished in the top 10 is the best you could come up with?
