Sentenced to 3-10 years for fatal DUI. Possibility of parole after 3 years. What an absolute joke of a legal system.

Hope he's able to take advantage and do well later. 3 years is very merciful.

This is a situation where if it was a white person the narrative would be
"Sounds about White"
He massively got off in this case. He was beyond negligent and killed someone, and to only get 3 years is pitiful.

That is a joke of a sentence.
He killed that poor woman with his actions.

Dwayne Goodrich served 8 years in Texas for the same thing. Served 8, not received 8.

Bama fans with the downvotes. Sad to see.

I knew a young lady who feared for her life when she left her husband. She was told if she left he would kill her. Her home was in Maryland. The husband drove 8 hours and when he got there unloaded a .357 into her, hitting her 5 times, in front of his 2 children who were under 5 years of age.
She miraculously survived and was paralyzed from the chest down. The trial was in Washington DC. The judge considered the act as not premeditated, even though it took him 8 hours to drive to her parent's home in Maryland. The judge also said he was temporarily insane. He was given 30 days in a psychiatric ward and told he couldn't return to Alabama for 3 years.
When I talked with her it was only 6 months after it happened and she was living in fear that after 3 years he would return and finish her off. That's the justice of this country. To call it arbitrary and foolish is just faint praise.
By the way, PBS and all the national news outlets destroyed that judge for his stupidity. She later became Miss Wheelchair Alabama and was the spokesperson for the handicapped in the state. She then became Miss Wheelchair America and was the spokesperson for all the handicapped in this country. Her life as she knew it as a young mother and wife in her twenties was over and the husband gets 30 days in a psych ward.
That's what the American justice system is all about.

This is what happens when you are not held accountable in college. Expect some UGA players to be in similar situations as Ruggs in just a few shorts years.

Perhaps Kirby could bring Ruggs in to speak to your low IQ players about the consequences of speeding!

Travesty. That's all I can say. Should have been 35 years minimum to life. I've seen people get more for killing in self defense.
Hopefully the NFL bans him.
