Wisconsin and Iowa seem very iffy to me. They might do very well but I haven't seen a vast influx of talent that would move them past the 2nd tier Big 10 teams they were last year.
Texas and Texas A&M get the usual Texas bounce. Texas should be decent this season against a schedule that isn't too terrifying but I think the honeymoon at A&M between Jimbo and Petrino will only last a couple of games into the season before things turn to crap.
LSU is a bit of a wild card. They have talent, they always have talent, but are they the 4th best team in the country and the second best SEC team?
It will be interesting to see how things play out.

Actually, I think this is one of the better preseason polls
LSU and Bama are essentially the same and Tenn is a #11-#13 team based on that depth chart

just an observation, but the top 18 is full of a bunch of 10+ win teams, and then theres texas and notre dame.

After last year, I can't say I expected to be in anybodies preseason top 25. If we're not in the top 25 by the end of the season then I'll be very disappointed though.

Why? LSU beat Bama last year and returns almost all of its offensive production. Bama is replacing both coordinators and doesn't have a QB.
